What unlikely character would you enjoy seeing a film about?

Alpha Flight. Imagine a Shawn of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, type of film.
A Canadian film, starting Canadian Actors, made by a Canadian director with Canada as the background and setting.
Like Shawn of the Dead and Hot Fuzz I could see them filming the whole thing in Canada without involving America at all.
The film is all about Canada and their superhero team.
and like those two films mentioned, Alpha Flight could be humorous but the joke would never be that they are Canadian Superheroes instead of American.
(The joke wouldn't be that they are the lesser heroes or the ones you call when Captain America is out of town.)

I'm sure people have mentioned these names before but whateva:

Dr. Strange - Alway loved em, has Iron Man potential, and what was the last "Magic" action movie that came out? I can't think of any.

Nova - Don't really know much about him or his book. I know his current book is doing pretty well. A space super hero movie would be cool, and I think that his costume could easily be adapted well.

Well I think Dr.Strange is happening sooner or later I think after the avengers and Iron Man movies come out. So it'll be awhile, maybe around 2012 or 2013, but I think Marvel is definitely making it.

Quentin Tarantino is a fan of the comic, as well as being a Kung-Fu genre fan. He might have already made his version of this movie with KILL BILL, but Marvel Studios or whoever owns the rights might consider getting in touch with him...[/quote]

I've always been curious to see what Quentin Tarantino would do with a comic book movie.

the beast could do well in a solo film

Silly, Canada IS America

I saw this thing where it was all about a Canadian James Bond type, but his secret agency wasn't as good as America's... because it was Canadian.
I just don't want the to be the underlying gag of the whole Alpha Flight movie.

Everytime I read the title of this thread it makes me think of
Marvel Comic's Stingray
