It's a shame that you don't find the action entertaining for what characters mean to each other in the duration and the charm of it all in the sequels. I'm a bigger fan of the sequels than I am of the first one, which I really like, but not enough to love.John Wick
I like the first John Wick film the best. It's the most straight forward of the trilogy. The other films start to ramble on about the High Table and the action goes on endlessly. This one is quick, crisp and efficient.
That's the version that tells us the girl in the train passing through Smallville is Lois Lane, right? That is a charming little scene, but I don't mind it being removed from the theatrical release.Superman: The Movie Special Edition
Time to upgrade to bluray finally.
Yeah, it's probably the only bit in the film I find unnecessary. I want to see the 3 hour Television Version and see what they added to that. That's on the top of my to buy list, but so is the theatrical cut since I haven't seen that since I upgraded from VHS to DVD 2 decades ago. That's the version that tells us the girl in the train passing through Smallville is Lois Lane, right? The CGI gorilla's acting was better than Malin Akerman's.
I enjoy the action in all John Wick films but I don't like the world of those movies. Which is a shame because I've seen a few interviews of the creators of John Wick franchise and they seemed really proud of their world-building. The first film already had the hotel that acts as a neutral zone for criminals but other than that it didn't get overly silly or complicated.John Wick
