What would you do?

lol...maybe I'm asking for trouble...just never found any incarnation of Green Lantern interesting...thought Parallex had the possibility to be a great recurring villain though...

Heroes fighting a former friend/colleague doing what he thinks is right and doesnt consider himself a villain...

Zero Hour sucked but the character itself couldve been awesome...

If you worked at DC Comics and could write any hero how you think it should be done, who would you write?

Cassandra Cain.

Post-OYL, she's been utterly mischaracterized. No one gets her so far.

What would you fix or change?

Her mischaracterization. And Beechen's ridiculous Navajo retcon.

What story would you wanna tell? Why?

Since I oppose outright retcons, I'll have to work with what's unfortunately given to me. So, I'll have to go further in-depth with what happened and may have transpired during the missing year and somehow rationalize why she did what she did, drawing upon her state of mind.

From there, I'd establish a new status quo for Cassandra, a good one.

one of the only people to answer the whole original question instead of just a generic one word answer...nice...

I honestly thought this thread might get some more attention then it has...

some inane crossover event probably. fans love those, right?

None of the above. I think all the choices in that poll have been given several interpretations and stories. I would have more fun writing a "new" title.

One title I would love to have a crack at is Booster Gold. It has a solid premise of time travel to major DC events, but it just hasn't found its niche like early Marvel issues of Exiles did. I think it was #4 that had Booster Gold try to stop Joker from paralyzing Oracle, and no matter what he did, he couldn't change history. There was also a sad ending where it was admitted to him that it was a lesson to teach him how he couldn't change the fate of his best friend, Blue Beetle. That's the type of stories I thought Booster Gold would have, and I hop to see more. It's such a cool premise, if they can't make story gold, it's the writer's fault.

I think I would also like to take a crack at Hawkman. Of all the major JLA-esque characters, he's one of the few that hasn't been given much attention, and he can be a really cool character when written/drawn right.

As is my standard response to the bimonthly reiteration of this topic, I would make Superman a socialist and have him beat the **** out of bankers, media barons and corrupt politicians.

Part of me wants to say I'd write Superman just to establish the fact that Jimmy Olsen is a grown ass man, and no longer a teenager. But another part of me knows better.

Really, I'd like to take a crack at writing The Question. Yes, the new Question. Renee Montoya. Why? Because if I can't have Vic Sage back, then I'm going to redeem this broad into a Question fans will like. Combine the Renee we all know and love (because even though no one wants to admit it, we all loved her before she put on Vic's no-face mask) with a bit of what we were beginning to see in 52. Vic was slowly bringing her around to thinking his way, and I'd like to start off telling stories where Renee struggles with what she wants to do, with what she thinks Vic would do. In the end, Renee would continue to follow her own instincts, but learn to never stop asking questions or searching for answers.

Maybe--just maybe--I'd explore a supernatural element or two by bringing back Vic Sage's ghost. Deadman-style. I'd come up with some mumbo-jumbo about him dying near the borders of Nanda Parbat, and how he has to guide Renee as she embarks on some mission that's somehow important to both of them. I don't have any details or anything. I'm just now making this stuff up.

I voted other. Im a wuss, I couldnt handle the fan reaction if I wrote a bad issue.

Characters like Creeper or Etrigan I feel more comfortable with. Also Shadowpact. Teen Titans is prolly the only high profile title I would attempt

Maybe GL corps or Flash after that though. Get some die hard fans and perfect my craft.

I'd like to write Green Arrow. After what's happened recently they need someone knew and I think I have some decent ideas for arcs. Have Onomotapea come back.
