Apparently he had a falling out with mainly Dan and Kootra and apparently he wasn't doing his part in helping out in the "business" aspect part of the Creatures. Like not contributing content or helping with said content on the Hub. Which always sounded a little bologna to me seeing as sp00n and Ze don't contribute anything to the Hub and are still part of said group.
On a personal basis they also grew apart and he felt less, and less like part of the group so Dan and Kootra apparently held a vote and apparently they had enough "Yes" to vote him out of the group. There was controversy as to how each of the Creatures voted and there's still some confusion to this day. Pretty sure it was something like Kootra, Dan, and Sly voted to kick him out while Seamus and sp00n abstained and Nova apparently said he also voted "neutral" but Renee called him a liar and said he pretty much went with Kootra and Dan with the decision to vote him out.
Nova still tweets with Gassy so I guess they're ok with each other now.
