I think seeing spiderman stop a steamroller from crushing someone would be a good way to show his strength/clinging ability. He just plants his hands against it and stops it from spinning until it starts struggling and breaks down with a stream of smoke.

Also, Id like to see him disarm way more crimes by regular yet hostile criminals. Since hes most effective upclose, spidey should use alittle more stealth and strategy in order to avoid gun fire. A hostage situation would be good, as hed have to find some way to disarm all criminals without endangering a hostage. Exploiting cover and hiding on or dropping from the ceiling.

That is a problem though, because Raimi has always wanted more drama in the movies, and not action, and two examples to back it up: They had Black Spider-Man fight against criminals, but reduced it to us only seeing pictures of it, and then they had so much drama in the third film, that they decided to re-shoot the final battle, meaning, if they didn't re-shoot, the final battle would have even been that much shorter in length.

But the train sequence was to show off Spidey's strength at best.

Spider-Man battling a walking powerhouse Rhino in a crowded downtown street. Cars being smashed. Buildings being caved in. Massive potholes in the street from cars being smashed.

Basically looking like a war zone when the battle is over.

If done right... Could be simply AMAZING!!!

This scene would be gold.

I've always liked The Rhino, it's almost like Spidey fighting The Hulk. Spidey going toe-to-toe with Rhino would be great for an opening action sequence, instead of the same old boring monologue by Peter. I would love to see Spidey reading the Daily Bugle high above the city, and looking down at The Rhino going ballistic, just before he swings down to try and stop him.

Some action settings...

An Airport
Bronx Zoo
A Mall
Museum Of Natural History
Statue Of Liberty
A Junkyard
Madison Square Garden
Coney Island

I wanted to see Spidey in mid battle with Doc Ock in slow motion. Imagine: a close up of all four tentacles swarming around Spidey, missing him by inches as he uses his agility to leap from tentacle to tentacle as he dodges them. The the scene goes back to normal speed as the fight continues.

As for Sandman, I hoped to see Spidey get frustrated with Marko's near invulnerability. After Marko holds up a bank, Spider-Man tries to punch him in the jaw, but it just tears off part of Flint's face. Spidey is momentarilly stunned by what he sees, as the sand flows along the ground to Sandman and it rejoins him. He ups the attack and Sandman lets him. , any damage being replaced by more sand. Sandman finally falls into a pile of sand and Spidey, exhausted, walks away, trying to catch his breath. His Spider sense goes off, as a sand hammer smashes him from behind, pushing him hard into a brick wall.

In a Lab against the Lizard
In a Zoo against Kraven
On top of the Empire State Building against GG or Venom or really anyone.

That would be simply badass!

I would love to see a real chase scene in one of these movies.

It could really be something different, Spider-Man swinging about, only arial views of the villian (like Rhino) as he charges down the streets, crashing through walls and what-not. Would let them flex their Spidey-swinging without it being some heroic moment like swinging to the final battle.

If Lizard is in a movie, you know there will be some kind of chase scene.

Or even with Electro...Spidey chasing a stream of electricity over building tops.

Battle with Electro in Times Square. Electric signs bursting all around them.

Or a huge fight that goes through the city. Through buildings.

I'd like to have Rhino go berserk on an elevated highway like in Transformers.

And yeah, a 3-way battle between sPidey, Kraven and The Lizard at the Bronx Zoo. Kraven's hunting The Lizard. sPidey's trying to protect Lizard from Kraven. Lizard just wants to kill 'em both.

Sounds kinda like the climax of TDK (on a smaller scale of course) with the tactical nightmare of fighting two things wile protecting one of them. Cool idea.

A Fight with Venom at the top of the Empire State building would rock,as would a fight with the Lizard down in the dark sewers.

There is one element that would make any action scene better:
WISECRACKS!

I'd love for a film to open up with Spidey chasing down someone like The Shocker or the Rhino. A villain that's good for a quick little fight but can't handle a whole movie. Anyway I would end the scene by having Spidey going at Shocker, and as Shocker starts charging up, the scene slows down and becomes a black and white picture, headlining the newspaper and showing Pete in the Daily Bugle holding it, or something to that effect. Just something to grab attention.

I'd like to see him wrap up a super-strong foe in webbing, have them struggle for a mintue & then break free. Spidey makes a downplayed, sarcastic comment to show that he's worried, ("Oh, boy.", "That's not good"-something like that)& then charges the villain.

I remember from the animated series the lizard and spidey fighting in the sewers, I think that'd be an awesome action scene/sequence in the film.

Better call Zach Snyder :hehe:

Agreed! That fight was superb.

An actual aerial battle with Vulture. Spidey shooting his web, getting dragged thorugh the air on his wing or something, Vulture tries to get it off, Spidey's sprawling out, smashing into buildings, goes through a billboard at one point.

It should take place in winter. He tries to stop himself on a rooftop, but it's slippery, he's about to jump off a ledge, slips, falls downwards hundreds of feet below, the weight bringing down Vulture in mid-air. Now both are stuck, his web still on Vulture's leg or wing, the punch in mid-air like what Raimi does best, Vulture can take the web and strangle Spidey with it. It can go all over the place with this.

Didn't something like that happen in Spider-Man Blue? It's been years since I read that, but I seem to remember him fighting Vulture during winter.

I have taken notice of this... They need to show way more of what he does as spiderman (and not in a montage) to earn his reputation. Its like the fact hes a superhero was just a subplot to connect the terribly boring dialogue to the villain confrontation/maryjane's rescue at the end. JJ voice: I WANT SPIDER-MAN!!

The best action scene I believe, is the one in the first movie where he stops the armoured car robbery and takes pictures as he bounces from one guy to the other... sitting on their shoulders and such. Thats just how I imagine spiderman fighting. But in the other fight scene where he stops the group of thugs from raping mary jane (with his mask off... sigh) his fighting is far from superhuman... the only time he gets both feet of the ground is when he does that weak-ass sloppy 'roll' over the guys back... quite obviously with the guys assistance.

Well Peter did have a line that clearly said "This, like any other story is about a girl, that girl....", so it does seem Raimi is trying to make a love story first, and an action/adventure movie second.

Spider-man, Spiderman
Friendly neighbourhood spiderman,
Wealth and Fame- he's ignored
ACTION is- his reward

To hiiiiim....
Life is a great big bang up,
where ever there's a hang up,
You'll find the spiderman!

Does this sound like the guy we've seen in the movie?
