Whats the appeal of bobba fett

this is something that has always bugged me, why do star wars fan boys basiclly orgasm at ever thing this character has been in, he's a crap character

ANH: not even there unless you count the cgi enhancements and is jabbas lackey
empire: moaned, complained and was basiclly a courier
jedi: fly across a pit, got beat up by a blind guy and a giant carpet, got ate by a giant worm

the prequals: turns out to be a crappy clone( so realisticlly the empire has thousands of boba fetts and look how good they are), and does nothing but wimper

the guy just ozooes cool. so what the hell is the appeal


and no before a fan throws it up, the extended universe doesnt count as even old george has said there not canon

He's not crap, he's pretty cool, though I question why a character whose greatest line is "put Captain Solo in the cargo hold" is more popular than Darth Vader, who shocked audiences by revealing himself to be Luke's father...

Im not a really a fan of Boba Fet but here seems to be the reason:

1. The Suit
2. Cool dialogue,like when Vader is like no disintergration
3. The Ship
4. Origin
3. The Extened Universe (I know u dont want the EU, but its wat makeshim extremely popular)!!!!

Boba Fett had a cool costume, ship and action figure. He was ruined by AOTC, but he was pretty cool if you were a young man when Empire came out...which I was. IG-88 has always been my favorite bounty hunter from Empire though.

Originally, the mystery around him was great. The outfit was sleek and cool. The gravelly voice added to the effect and he was a badass bounty hunter. Star Wars is predominantly aimed at young males, and the two characters that are the most macho that the youth aspire to be like are Boba Fett and Han Solo. That's why Boba is popular!......

I think the only thing I ever liked about him was his suit. Asside from that he was pretty lame. And getting eaten by a giant worm didn't really help to build cool points.

Jango Fett > Boba Fett... I love that 1 minute from ATOC where he fights Samuel, and gets his **** wrecked... Or that fight with Obi-Wan.

Dude, In Empire we liked him because he was like Clint Eastwood. Saying very little and balls big enough to back-talk Darth Vader (back when he was the wickedest).
It was also cool how he hid out in the garbage to follow the M.Falcon. and, at the time, he was mysterious. And of course had the coolest armor 'cause it's scuffed-upness implied that he'd been in a million fights but survived.

Then when RotJ came out, we all knew that George was an idiot to have him die like that, so we all rested assured that he got out of the Sarlaac.

After that, yeah, just another example of how clueless George is. He said that Boba Fett was just supposed to be a passing character and that the only reason he included him in the prequels was to cater to fanboys.

Dumb move.

I always had a thing for Boba Fett. Someone gave me the original ship (it was trashed some years later so I don't own it anymore ) as a present so I was intrigued to see the guy on screen. I can't remember actually owning a Boba Fett toy but I'm sure my original interest came from owning the ship. His part is very small but he has some cool scenes. One of the reasons he became a cult figure is that fans just wanted to see more..

I think it was his voice.

He just oozed cool... up until he was knocked into the pit. Although I do love the panic in Solo's voice just before he finishes him. "Boba FETT!?"
