When will you stop?

*shakes head back and forth* it's called over stocked, man. esp with a new movie line, they have alot of those sitting back in the store, when some are bought, they put more on the rack. But with pirates for instance, the toys have been out for a few months, there getting less shipments so there not replenished as quick so i looks like there selling while the always stocked Transformers are not.

i will agree too many are made. overstocked yes but im right, toy sales are down. thats the problem tho. so i say less should be there and more lines should be made. but i know video games are toys but i meant to say they are becoming higher than figures. its like dolls. i see more figures sold then barbies these days at MY stores. might be detail but idk

i just think its the ratio thats down man, if anything toy sales are selling more then what they were 30 years ago

again from what ive heard gthey havent ben selling and im always ok with being proven wrong. but im just saying im probably REALLY ignurant on this.

im just telling you guys what i know from collecting figs for 21 years.... i know this stuff pretty well....

rough and bats, what do you have to say about this?

*waits for response* lol spidey no problem. i value ur response and i respect u. i sound llike hasbro dont i...nyways im saying i a gree and disagree but mostly agre with u. only part i disagree with is that sales are decreasing. remember i said slightly

Because of adult collectors (Who were the kids getting these things back then) (Who grew up and now have more money than they did when they were kids) (Who lost most of thier old figs and want to reclaim them in new forms (Star Wars, GIJoe, Transformers, He-man: all resurginf from the 80s, where the hell are the Thundercats?) the action figure business is better than it's ever been. And kids still buy them too, go figure, setting this whole thing up for another cycle.

yeah, where are the thundercats. but they're making a thundercats movie b/c of this whole transformers movie hype. so we'll probably see some sometime. but i won't touch them unless they look similar to the classic thundercats I grew up with.

I would be happy if they are changed a little like the He Man stuff......I loved the way the Modern He Man studd was awesome and still kept the Classic looks

ive been slowing up on collecting lately,im only getting xmen and spiderman related figures, and the new 10$ price point is hard too
theres nothing new out so ive actually gotten into SHS figures, im just getting spiderman for now, and making my own
im having a kid soon too,so my money is going to be diminished
i told my girl if its a girl im gonna sell most of my collection, but if its a boy ill keep it

When? When and what will make you stop collecting figs?
I already have...besides the few figures here and there. but for the most part I've stopped. what would (has) make me stop ? I don't care anymore for collecting them.

That happened to me a while back.....then I got better.

i think you got worst, i don't need to spend $10 - 20 or more on pieces of plastic when i can use that money to go out drinking, socialize with friends, and meet pretty girls

drinking just goes in and out of ya, least buy a shirt or somethin to show for it.

its not really about the drinking, it more the people your with.

That's funny.....I still have and buy a **** load of figs, and I got to at least 3 movies a week (Usually more) and I go drinking 2-3 nights a week......I guess I don't drink a lot when I do drink.....but figs aren't the reason for that.

of course, its just something to do. whats better ? fun times with people you know and meeting people ? or a hunk of plastic collecting dust ?

What I'm saying is that I do both.

And I have no income and Don't live with my folks.

I'm not saying i stopped because i spend all that money on drinking, it was just a example. i'm just saying this point in my life there not something i need or want anymore.

Hey vincy, you ever been to the Million Dollar Saloon?

That's funny, cause about a year ago for me I hit that point, and getting drunk was what I didn't need or want anymore.
