This has happened to me before. I think I know what's happening.

Since you have only 3 000 posts, you're restricted to a 75x75 avatar. You said you uploaded a 100x75 avatar. Sometimes the server resizes the avatar if it is either

A. More than the restricted file size.

B. More than your restricted pixel count.

This also, for some reason, stops the .gif from animating. I don't know why.

I suggest you resize your 100x75 avatar to 75x75.

If it sounds confusing, try uploading a wallpaper as your avatar. You will still be able to use it, but size will shrink.
