I think it should be Superman centric.Bats got a trilogy and this should be a Superman sequel. However the Bat Love is strong at WB so it most likely will be equally focused on both of them

Probably Batman and Superman, seeing as their in the title.

I don't get this movie, is it a Man of Steel sequel or a one off?

why would it be a one off? It's a sequel to MOS and JL will be a sequel to this film.

Henry cavill isn't playing a different version of the same character.

considering the ratio of superman characters to batman characters, I'd say its a MOS sequel with Batman in it, but like others have said, it's Batman so they'll likely get close to equal screen time.

Since it is a sequel to MOS and has his entire supporting cast returning, it should be SM centric.

Batman and Superman. Not because of team up. Because of title. Really, between the two, I'd still like to imagine this as a Superman movie. That's not the way it seems this has been envisioned by the powers that be, so back to Batman and Superman.

By one off I mean franchise wise, like over at Marvel, Iron Man is a single franchise, same with Thor, Cap, Avengers and now Guardians, yeah as a whole they fall under the MCU franchise, but each property sells on it's own merit. Even though Iron Man appeared in Avengers before Iron Man 3, iron man 3 is still the third movie in the Iron Man series, even though it was the fourth time we seen the character on screen.

So my question is, is this movie a direct sequel to MOS? Does this fall under the MOS franchise? Will we get a movie called Man of Steel 2 and will that be the direct sequel franchise wise, not story wise.

Do you understand what I mean?

P.s. I Understand the concept that Henry Cavill is playing the same Superman from BVS.

I feel like story-wise, this movie should focus around Superman but Batman should still be a big part and given a considerable amount of screen time. I also have a feeling that that's what we're going to get, but really it's just a feeling.

There will be a Man of Steel 2.

This is not it.

I think Bats will be fleshed out to a certain extent when it comes to him individually, but I think most of the story and Bats motivation will be tied to a Superman-focused reasoning. I can see them diving into some backstory with Batman but it will all circle around and have a purpose because of Superman. I think above all else, the entire climax of this story and future developments in the DCU will effect Supes the most.

Bats and Supes because this follow-up to MOS is a Batman/Superman movie, according to all press releases.

I think the story will revolve around Superman's existence though and how it affects the world. That seems like it could be the throughline from MOS to BvS to JL.

To be fair, Batman and Superman have had around the same number of movies, overall, and Superman's done more television (live action, that is). Still, I'd probably tilt the balance in favor of Superman because he's the one who's been established, and as something of an everyman. So I would make Superman the main protagonist and have it be about his encountering Batman (and Lex Luthor), rather than it be a story about Bruce Wayne encountering some flying alien man that we already know. Batman's the one in the shadows.
