It depends on quality . 2012 has movies I'm more excited about but if 2011's filmography doesn't fall short it could be a tough year to beat.

ummmmm...how can we tell? By the titles? Obviously, it can't be due to the quality.

Also, you're missing Tittin and Sherlock Holmes 2 in 2011 and The Hobbit in 2012. Maybe even James Bond in 2012.

Now if you're going by the Summer only, Superman will be a Winter 2012 release.

To even attempt to have a clue of how good 2012 is ridiculous. Those movies have not been filmed yet, and I bet there are some we dont even know yet that are being made. Just look, all you can think of 2012 is a bunch of sequels and remakes. A better question would be which year between 2010 and 2011 will be best.

Also, many a times, there's always a movie that we tend to overlook until it's release date. I'm sure this year and next year, you're gonna have a great movie that came out of no where and blow our socks off. Think District 9 (I would have put down Scott Pilgrim but it did poorly though it's gaining popularity.)

Really it's based on anticipation.

I added those titles except for James Bond which is in development hell right now.

Bats, Supes and Spidey in the same year. Heaven.

I think this years surprise was The Social Network. There always seem to be great films that come out or build anticipation around the second half of the year . I'm still waiting to see Buried, 127 Hours, The Fighter , True Grit , Kings Speech, and Exit through a gift shop

Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, the Hobbit AND the Avengers in one year - amazing!

2012 hands down, I'm more excited for '12 than '11 by a long way. I'd argue there's probably more interest in the 2012 films than 2011, this year is looking mediocre.

There's one movie from each year that I'm really looking forward to, the rest are all on par with each other right now.

Btw wont Bond 23 be out in 2012?

Hey, we are all with opinions ;) And yes, The Tree of Life does look amazing.

But for me Nolan = amazing. I don't need to know what movie it is. If it has the name Nolan as Director, I'm sure it will be the best movie of the year.

I'll probably say 2011. 2012 looks pretty good, but there's only about 6-7 movies I want to see next year. (TDKR, Wolverine, Deadpool[if true], Spider-Man, Superman, Avengers, Kick-ass 2.) This year, my wallet is gonna need a trip to the hospital. :csad:

2012 might just be the biggest movie year ever, for genre films at least. As for what will be the better year remains to be seen.

I think it's really a toss-up. There's really only three in 2012 I'm looking forward to - Spiderman, Batman, and The Avengers. Wolverine too if that even ends up coming out in 2012.

This year does have a lot more films I'm really eager to see though - Thor, Caps, Pirates, X-Men, Cowboys & Aliens, Super 8, Transformers 3 and more that you didn't list.

I think after 2010 being so lackluster, it'll be great to have two years in a row packed with great movies!

I don't care about Batman 3 or Spiderman v 2.0 at all. Hell I'm not even actually curios about either of them.
