well when i say it its usually ment as a joke but people dont know how to take jokes and take it seriously,i can say it if i want,as i said before,i may not like the casting but it doesnt mean i dont like the manip

have something more to say - maybe advice on the colors, the cuts, the textures, etc. SOMETHING!
I just hate that 'I can say whatever I want' argument.
Yes, its true, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but shouldn't it be relavent to the thread? I mean, if its a casting thread, by all means enlighten us with your comments and thoughts. But if its not, then have something more to say - maybe advice on the colors, the cuts, the textures, etc. SOMETHING!
calm down man, dont be one of those people who take things so seriouslybatboy99 said:calm down man, dont be one of those people who take things so seriously

t:as i said before,i might not like the casting but it doesnt mean i dont like the manipI don't want to pick a fight batboy, but all these posters that spend weeks doing these manips - if someone criticised their work just because they got the casting "wrong", I think they'd take it seriously, don't you?
Mmm.
I'll admit protests regarding casting don't help much.
BUT, well, if it's an ensemble cast and said voter hates 90% of said cast, I rather think he/she's allowed to not vote for it for that very reason and not feel bad about it. Like, not one microsecond.
*shrugs*
I agree with judging art just off the casting is bad, and I know I said I do judge casting, but it's never a deciding factor for me.
I've said this in the X-manip thread but I'll post it here too.
I judge based on the difficulty, the originality of the manip, the designs, the choices made, the casting, and the overall outcome.
I know it's just a fun competition, but it's just the way I vote.
I do believe everyone should judge the manips the way they want, but judging just on one thing is a bit ignorant to me.
Besides, how can one poster know everybody's preference for actor? It's impossible to know what everybody likes.I agree. That's how a manip should be judged. Yes everyone does have their own way of doing things - that's not new. But like you said, judging by on thing is ignorant - and it's also not fair to the artist.
I don't think of it as a big deal, but there are some actor's that will take away from the manips for me. Mostly the ones sugested for every role for everything on these boards.I just don't see what the big deal about casting is. If the manip is actually a good piece of work, should it really matter?Besides, how can one poster know everybody's preference for actor? It's impossible to know what everybody likes.
Mostly the ones sugested for every role for everything on these boards.

If you take a look through any casting threads it's kind of obvious. But then how do you expect people that are new to these boards to know about who's been suggested for 'every role for everything on these boards'? *points to ignorant little self*![]()
Well I started posting like 2 weeks ago and the manip thread was pretty much the first thread I ever read entirely. Unless we're supposed to read all those casting threads before being allowed to post, I don't see how we're supposed to know. That being said, even if I had known, I don't think I would've changed my manip. I though Jolie's pose was very Psylocke-ish so I used her as a base for my manip and that's reason enough for me.
