Batman is definetly on the list and definetly on the top ten, but where on the top ten?

My guess is after Lady Shiva, Richard Dragon, Bronze Tiger, Deathstroke, Constantine Drakon, Batman, Wildcat, and Connor Hawke are the remaining top 10.

What about that lil' guy who trained deathstroke from the current g.a. arc

But Deathstroke has had other teachers besides Natas, the US Army in particular.

In a complete random order:

1. Cassandra Cain
2. Black Canary/Dinah Laurel Lance
3. Lady Shiva/Sandra Wu-San
4. Richard Dragon
5. Bronze Tiger/Ben Turner
6. Connor Hawke
7. David Cain
8. O-Sensei
9. Ra's al Ghul
10. Batman/Bruce Wayne
11. Rick Flag (not so much a martial artist, but was able to stalemate Batman)
12.

I could only get up to 11 for now.

What about Wildcat? He did train Batman in the sweet science. Or King Snake. Maybe even some real-world martial artists like Bruce Lee or, dare I say it.... Chuck Norris.

I don't know if Bane would be there or not, since he's more of a brawler instead of a martial artist, but his physical prowess in a fight is definitely up there as a force to be reckoned with.

i don't understand how can connor hawke be in the top 10, he's like in his mid 20's and batman has had far more extensive training then him and more experience since he's in his late 30's or so. did connor hawke begin training at the same age cassandra started training as? i just don't see how he can be much of a better fighter then bats. the others i can understand, but conner hawke? ehh i don't buy it.

chuck dixon really went out of his way to depict him as a better fighter then bats, but clearly that really does'nt make sense when you compare it to the extensive training batman has had. maybe there needs to be another year one, where batman is being trained by the brotherhood of the fist. clearly people would ***** about that, but whatever.

Connor Hawke has the uncanny ability of being able to pick up fighting styles very quick, similar to the likes of Taskmaster.

Is O-Sensei the armless guy that Lady Shiva killed during Knightquest? If not he should be on the list.

I'm sure someone like Dog (I think that was his name) who was supposed to be Cassie Cains "brother" could make the list.

Prometheus probably has a wide array of martial artists on his hard drive, giving him different styles to choose from no matter the situation.

I'd probably add Nightwing to the list too. He might not be one of the worlds best fighters but his unique style could be of some use.

Wonder Woman is another possible candidate. Many people neglect her fighting prowess. Same goes to Big Barda.

I'd also consider adding Judomaster to the list as well.

Connor was given to a monastery as an infant, if I remember correctly. That puts him ahead of Bruce by quite a few years. Batman traveled all over the world doiong other stuff while Connor's life was dedicated to something akin to a shaolin monk. Bats is a jack of all trades, he should NEVER be better than a dedicated fighter, NEVER. Cassandra has an advantage that the others don't have anmd even then we saw how much trouble she had against Deathstroke, she didn't have the same problem of not being able to read Batman's "style".

a jack of all trades is always better then a person of one.

Uhm, that makes absolutely no sense. Batman is a jack of all trades in the sense that he's great at a lot of things, like being a detective and being a skilled fighter, but he's not the best in either areas. Connor outclasses him in the fighting department, because that's really all that Connor's trained for.

how does it not make sense?! a person whose skilled at alot of things is not better then a person who is skilled in one thing?

i guess detective chimp can take on batman.

God, are you this much of an idiot or are you faking it? When talking about a single area of expertise, a jack of all trades will never be better than the specialist.

So, yes, Detective Chimp could take on Batman, when it comes to being a detective.

Cheshire should make the list. Also, since Wildcat has been mentioned, so should both Doc Mid-Nite and Mr. Terrific. Both are accomplished in martial arts.

Connor Hawke makes the list.

Sensei, The Mad Dog, Alpha are probably on it. Maybe David Cain too.

At doing different kinds of things? Sure. Being better at what the dedicated person is? Not a chance. Should Batman be able to beat a dedicated martial artist at martial arts? No, he shouldn't.

As far as I know, Connor isn't proficient in one style only; he's proficient in many, plus has studied others. If you take away Bruce's chance of cheating (using his belt) and have him fight Connor, he should lose. If you give Batman a bow and arrow, he'll be beat by any of the "Green Team" anyday, even on a bad day. Deadshot would beat Bats with guns. Mr. Terrific would beat Bats inventing stuff. Bats is WAY out of Dr. Midnite's league when it comes to medicine (he's even BELOW Alfred when it comes to that). The list goes on.

I think you misunderstood me when I said "dedicated fighter", I didn't mean a Tae Kwon Do specialist, Ninjitsu master or one of the many Kung Fu sifu's; I meant someone dedicated to the fighting arts. He/she should be able to beat Brucie 99% of the time, I'll give you the 1% because life is unpredictable and a meteor could crash on top of Brucie's opponent.

Where's the Karate Kid on these lists?

And no Black Canary is not better than Shiva although she has taken huge leaps forward in skill the last couple of years so she's probably getting pretty close.

Even though she's a neglected and nearly forgotten character Shado should make this list and probably Katana as well.
