I know what you mean, but I'd like to throw Waid on something he could write up a manifesto on how to "fix" the book, something a little more high-concept, like with FF, except not FF again, so, this time, Hulk. I dunno who I'd put on art from DC artists...

For FF, I would go with Busiek and Pete Woods. Pete Woods and whoever colored his recent/current Superman/Action stuff, because those bright colors and his fantastic pencils would go great with the superhero silly sci-fi that the FF needs
