The Moon isn't technically space. It's land.

I vote that no one really owns the moon until someone stakes a claim to it. There's no previous owner so it's ripe for the taking. We just have to set up a moon base. We can call it moon base alpha.

haha, I have a good explenation for this (have to beleive in Evolution..sorta)

When the Earth was very young, a very large asteroid hit the earth, spreading lots of Earths rocks and debris out into space. Those rocks and debris clustered together to form the moon. This would explain why some Minerals found on Earth are found In the Moons rocks......

NASA thinks it's true. So it must be!
