Alot of them kick ass, but for me I like both Mark Bagley (Ultimate Spider-Man) and Javier Saltares (Ghost Rider).

He doesn't trace, he uses alot of referances,which is actually ok,he's still doing the work himself,every artist uses referance.Some more than others.

My favorite comicbook artist is the best comicbook artist.
He's known as "The King", because he's.....the King.
Walt Simonson said it best when he said that, if you aspire to be a comicbook artist, it's pretty much a conscious choice you have to make...."Am I going to draw in the Jack Kirby style, or not?"

Because Jack Kirby created the visual language of modern comics.

I don't really like his nickname..."King".....because it's too lowly for him.

He's not a "King", he's a "GOD".
Pretty much anything I've ever liked about comics can be traced back to him.

And Marvel comics would be N.O.T.H.I.N.G. if not for him.

Countless people have built their livelihoods by getting up on his shoulders and then aping him. And I don't mean that as an insult.
He's so good, I feel that if you want to be a good comicbook artist, you have to be mimicking Jack Kirby, or it won't be good.

Stan Lee has gone on record and said that he has no problem being called a co-creator. Marvel wouldn't be Marvel without Stan Lee or Jack Kirby...they needed each other.
