Or for more info on my feelings on LOTR see Randel's rant in Clerks. II
If you go by just what RTD is saying then no one will understand it.. "His" Universe really doesn't fit in that well in my mind, so we're here trying to fix it and while we are at it create a Expanded Universe like Star Wars has..
FYI guys. Wikipedia has been edited to say that some fans believe the Shalka Doctor is the real 9th Doctor and it links to this page, but its only in the Shalka Doctor section right now.
I think the whole 'Time War' thing can pretty much explain any continuity headaches. Plus, there's always the Cardiff rift reset button that affects everyone except members of Torchwood.Well, I guess with time travel it all gets a bit confusing. especially with the whole 'time lords exist out of time' thing. Because if they didnt..it wouldnt matter if they died..because they could travel to after that time, and rebuild the planet...but they'd already be dead...*brain explodes*
No wonder RTD killed them off
Yeah I edited it yesterday night
and its still up..
which I geuss means people are buying it.

It's a good move, baisically resetting the clock back to 'zero'.
Though theres a small part of me that hopes they'll bring the other time lords back. After seeing 'the parting of the ways', I cant help but think a second time war would be great television.
There has already been two Time Wars supposedly following one right after another, if you bring in a Third I doubt the universe would survive.
....Cannocity adds a certain reality to the show though..In the end, it's all stupid IMO. Canon, I mean. Doctor Who isn't science, it isn't history, it's a fun romp for the whole family, whether you're 8 or 80. It's funny, it's scary, it's silly, it's beautiful, it's emotionally touching, it's amazing. With some exceptions, most of the DW media put out is fantastic and IMO trying to figure out how exactly time works in the universe and when the UNIT stories took place and if the NAs where canon or if the Big Finish plays were... is missing the point. Doctor Who was made to get enjoyment out of sitting it and having a DAMN good time.
