I always have been a Firefox type, but it kept freezing and popping up low memory conditions on certain pages, because my PC is kinda old. However, Opera has had nary an issue since I downloaded it a couple days ago, runs smooth as hell, and the scroll even appears to be moving at a higher framerate, if that's possible. I'm converting.

rarely have any problems with FF and does Opera have a pop up blocker?

Dude I've been pushing Opera for a long time!

i never see popups with opera, i've been using it over a year. it's super customizable too. mine's blue right now :)

best of all it doesn't use a lot of virtual memory

I also have an old computer and having the same issues. I'm going to download it now and check it out.

Okay, I've been using it for the past 20 minutes and it does work way better then Firefox on my computer.

Opera does for the most part, same stuff Firefox does...
the functionality is for the most part the same.

its then personal preference...

Not on mine. Firefox has crashed several times on me as of late. Due to low virtual memory, or javascript ****ing up, or something else. This Opera has not crashed on me once. I haven't reinstalled Windows or anything, I'm still at the same point in the system I was in.

Google Chrome is garbage.

I don't agree.

I used to use Firefox but saw that Google had created a web browser and I tried it out. Ever since I have been using Chrome all the time. It is faster to browse, quick boot up time, dynamic tabs and the look of the browser is great. And I find that I have much faster downloads in Chrome.

Sure it doesn't have the add-on functionality like Firefox but Google are working on them for Chrome. They are going to be called "Extensions" but Google are trying to figure out how to incorporate them into Chrome without changing the look of the browser and the web browsing speed and start up speed.

I've been either/or with Opera. Every time I install it, I can never get it personalized the way I have Firefox set up. And well, I like my setup too much to change it so drastically.
