Why is Frank Robbins forgotten in Batman's history?

He, along with Denny O'Neil and Neal Adams help Batman usher in the "New Age" touted by Julius Schwartz in the letter cools around 69.

So, why isn't he as remembered as his fellow freelancer?
 
Robbins’ claim to fame was simply being weird. He was overshadowed by Denny ONeil and then there were a host of much better writers including Englehart and Barr who are later and were far superior
