Why the ARIZONA CARDINALS will make the playoffs this year!

I dont have faith in their O-Line to open up holes for Edge.

WHY does everyone say this, YET everyone drafts him in round 1 of FF???

wtf?

Not to mention that every D-line is going to be gunning for him since he's about the only thing the Card's have that can reliably score. Even Shaun Alexander got shut down quite a bit due to this kind of strategy and Edge is no Shaun Alexander.

That I disagree with - Bolden and Fitzgerald are fantastic WR's. If teams put 8 men in the box in an attempt to stop Edge - they will get burned.

I should have indicated I was talking primarily about the Card's running game and not their passing game.

as much as i like the cardz chances this season, they do not have an oline to get edge a 1000yards ,and when last was kurt warner healthy, which means that they would have 2 rely on a overhyped rookie.A playoff team must have a strong running game, both seattle and the rams have a much stronger running attack.

Why the cardinals will NOT make the playoffs.

1. Defense
2. Kurt warner is their QB
3. Seattle seahawks
4. Chicago bears
5. Carolina panthers
6. New york giants
7. Dallas cowboys
8. Atlanta falcons.

I don't care if they make the playoffs, as long as Edge does well (he's the starter on my fantasy team).

I'll give you the #1 reason why the Cards may possibly go 6-10. If Kurt Warner gets hurt they are screwed.

From JKS:

Why the cardinals will NOT make the playoffs.

1. Defense

The Arizona Defense Ranked in the Top 10 of Yards Allowed.

2. Kurt warner is their QB

Kurt Warner played very well last year, and lets not forget he has two NFL MVP's sitting on his mantel.

3. Seattle seahawks

Seattle lost Steven Hutchenson and have very little depth or quality at WR - they are by no means an unbeatable force.

4. Chicago bears

A team with No Offense does very little to scare me. Name one improvment they made this offseason? They were the benefit last year of a horrible division.

5. Carolina panthers

The Carolina Panthers are not the best team in the NFC South.

6. New york giants

The New York Giants are not the best team in the NFC West.

7. Dallas cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys are not the best team in the NFC West.

8. Atlanta falcons.

Mike Vick still has to prove he can be a great QB.

No faith in Leinart?
1. He can't take a hit from a college player. What's he going to do when he gets hit by Ray Lewis, Roy Williams or Donnie Edwards?
2. He's dumb enough to have sex with Paris Hilton.
3. He's dumb enough to knock up some chick while he's with Hilton. Jeez Matt wear a hat. As a matter of fact wear two hats.
4. His mid isn't set on football.

He's the Brian Bosworth of the new milenium.

Come on get past your USC bigotry man - one does not have to think football 24/7 to be a great football player.

After all - look at Big Ben.

Let the good times roll Matt, let the good times roll.

Yes both the cowboys and Giants play in the east

Arizona

7-9 or 8-8

4 or 5 games will be close, I say the Card's make the playoffs next year. Depending on the running game this year by Edge.

''with the first selection in the 2007 draft the Arizona Cardinals select runningback Adrian Peterson from Oklahoma'' j/k

The ~C A R D I N A L S ~ haven't had a running back reach 1,000 yards in a season since Adrian Murrell (1042) in 1998. That was also the last year the ~C A R D I N A L S ~ reached the playoffs. SO this year, if EDGE runs up 1000 yards or more, the ~C A R D I N A L S ~ will roll into the playoffs.

Also, if you go back the last 11 years, only 2 teams have been able to post a winning record the year after they lost the Super Bowl ( SB curse). Here are the previous SB losers & their records the year after.

Philadelphia Eagles 6-10
Carolina Panthers 7-9
Oakland Raiders 4-12
St. Louis 7-9
NY Giants 10-6
Tennessee Titans 7-9
Atlanta Falcons 4-12
Green Bay Packers 8-8
New England 7-9
Pittsburgh Steelers 11-5
San Diego 8-8

Then, there is the Madden curse to content with this year for SA.

Cards go 10-6 & Win ( thats right, I said WIN!) their division outright. The Seahawks will go 7-9.

Cardinals have no O line and their QB is made of glass. 7-9 or 8-8 max for the birdies.

If Edge keeps averaging 3.1 yards a carry they aren't going to do ****.

And as of right now only 6 teams are worse than them

How long ago were those mvp's?

Seattle lost Steven Hutchenson and have very little depth or quality at WR - they are by no means an unbeatable force.
Didn't say they were unbeatable, just that they are the best team in that division.

A team with No Offense does very little to scare me. Name one improvment they made this offseason? They were the benefit last year of a horrible division.
Last time I checked, looked like grossman was the #1 rated qb in the nfl

The Carolina Panthers are not the best team in the NFC South.
True, atlanta is, I'll get to that in a sec.

The New York Giants are not the best team in the NFC West.
The Dallas Cowboys are not the best team in the NFC West.
Well, can't argue with that, lmfao.

Mike Vick still has to prove he can be a great QB.
No he doesn't All he has to do is continue to move the offense

Where do you get off saying that Seattle has no depth at receiver?
They've got the deepest receiving corps in the NFL.

And Brett Favre has three  Doesn't mean the Pack are gonna make the playoffs.
