In the rear pages of Aquaman #12, there was some promotional copy about Warren Ellis redoing Jim Lee's old Wildstorm characters, which I assume is part of DC's Rebirth continuity rebooting.
Ellis created The Authority and some old school world-saving-against-cosmic-threats would have been nice.
Then I read this:
http://www.worldcomicbookreview.com/index.php/2017/02/27/no-capes-wildstorm-1-review/
So it seems that Ellis is sneaking the characters into a spy/science fiction story and the masks, capes, some of the superpowers and all of the back history is gone. Zealot in particular is radically different. A spy, no Coda warrior backstory
Not sure how I feel about that. Has anyone read it?
