Comedy Wile E. Coyote vs. ACME

I thought the issue wasn’t that they weren’t willing to sell it. It’s that they were selling it at a higher price nobody was biting at and they wouldn’t lower it.

Warner Bros Negotiating Big Sale Of Shelved ‘Coyote Vs. Acme’ Movie — The Dish

EXCLUSIVE: Warner Bros‘ shelved Coyote vs Acme movie may have finally found a new home with the studio deep in sale negotiations, we can reveal.

Gareth West’s distributor-financier Ketchup Entertainment is negotiating an all-rights acquisition in the $50M range for the animated-live-action hybrid project. Ketchup last year rescued the same studio’s The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie.

The pact isn’t finalised and there’s still a chance it doesn’t make but it’s heading in the right direction. Should it get over the line, the film would get a theatrical release in 2026. The deal would mark a significant and record outlay for Ketchup, whose previous releases have included Michael Keaton starrer Goodrich, comic book reboot Hellboy: The Crooked Man, Ben Affleck thriller Hypnotic, and Michel Franco’s Jessica Chastain drama Memory.

Appears to be done.

Warner Bros Completes Worldwide Sale Of ‘Coyote Vs Acme’

Warner Bros has completed the sale we told you about a couple weeks ago for their previously shelved Coyote Vs Acme movie.

Ketchup Entertainment today confirmed their completed deal for worldwide rights to the live-action/animated hybrid film that brings Looney Tunes character Wile E. Coyote to the big screen. We had the deal pegged in the $50M range and the film is expected to get a theatrical release in 2026.

Hope they have a better idea to market it than their last release of Looney Tunes did. Being a little viral on the (English-speaking) internet isn’t enough to reach the masses.

Wile E. Coyote and the Roadrunner were among my favorite Tunes characters but I’m in my 40s now - they just don’t have the awareness they did 40+ years ago.

I hope this could be among the very small club of good live-action/cartoon movies like Roger Rabbit.

Which got me thinking. Is that still the only actual good one?

(I do have guilty pleasure for Space Jam and Back in Action but neither are “good”).

Now just a question of who would buy.

Beep Beep: ‘Coyote Vs. Acme’ Heads To The Cannes Market With Kinology Aboard For International Sales — Hot Project

One of the year’s most intrigue-filled movies is heading to the Cannes market for sale: the former Warner Bros live-action/animation hybrid Coyote vs. Acme.

We can reveal that Grégoire Melin’s Paris-based Kinology will serve as international sales agent for Ketchup Entertainment, which bought worldwide rights to the film from Warner Bros in a big deal earlier this year and is releasing in North America at a date tbc.

We understand there will be footage for buyers to see and potentially a market screening but the latter isn’t set yet.

As much as I prefer Looney Tunes, it would be pretty hilarious if Disney bought it

WB reaping what they sow

Honestly, Tubi should make a play, if they can. They're already playing the Looney Tunes after WB took them off HBO Max.
