Will Smith and Kevin Hart to remake Planes, Trains and Automobiles

Why is THIS the Will Smith content we're stuck getting? Can someone please get the man a new agent?

Eww! Instantly sticking with just the original

You figure with all the downtime going on due to COVID-19 it would give studios loads of free time to come up with original ideas, but we keep getting bombarded with needless remakes

I love the guy, but it's not like his filmography has been that spotless to begin with. Wild Wild West, Men in Black II, After Earth, Winter's Tale, Collateral Beauty, Bright, etc.

I accidentally read the title as Kevin Smith at first and was very confused by that random combination of people.

But uhhh.. idk about this. The amount of remakes/reboots is seriously getting annoying.

I have to say...I think these two will be hilarious together. Just wish it was a different and/or original comedy. They will be instantly compared to Steve and John.

"You wanna hurt me? Go right ahead if it makes you feel any better. I'm an easy target. Yeah, you're right, I make bad movies. I also make good movies. I could be a cold-hearted cynic like you... but I don't like to hurt people's feelings. Well, you think what you want about me; I'm not changing. I like... I like me. My fans likes me. My franchises like me. 'Cause I'm the real article. What you see is what you get."

He isn't exactly the most savvy when choosing his movies. If he was, I think he'd be like Tom Cruise. Cruise has had some misses but he always rebounds with true quality movies.

Why have they never done a project together?

I meant Cruise and Will actually.

Cruise is lucky in that he has the Mission Impossible franchise to fall back on if one of his projects doesn't stick the landing. But Smith can still be a box office draw. He pretty much carried the live action Aladdin and Bad Boys III was a success.
