As long as it gets it's cut, I'll be very happy.

The word "Happyness" in the title has been taken from the misspelling of "Fun Joy Happyness" on a mural children have painted on the Chinatown daycare center where Chris Gardner takes his son, Christopher. When Chris points out the mistake, Mrs. Chu replies that it is not important to the pre-schoolers how the word is spelled, only that they have happiness. This leads Chris to contemplate the inclusion of the concept of the individual's right to "pursuit of happiness" in the Declaration of Independence, and how to pursue a happier, more emotionally secure childhood for his son, than his own had been.
Thanks, now it makes sense.

Saw this last night and it was absolutely amazing! It made me laugh, cry, and hope that Will Smith wins lots of awards

I'm planning on seeing this, probably later today.

Saw it. Loved it. Will buy it. Great movie, great cast and most importantly a great story.

Solid 8.

One of the best of 2006.
Made me cry, too.

Big 9 for me, really worth seeing. Smith owned.

Okay, I just got back. I'm giving it an 8. I didn't cry,is there something wrong with me? :csad:
Very well told story, very humbling. The theater was packed. I heard a few sniffles and folks clapped at the end. I appreciate the fact that it didn't appear to attempt to yank tears out of me,it was pretty much straight to the point about what went down.

I loved how at the end they had Gardner's cameo. :yay: That was the money shot for me,I welled up a bit on that. Also, when they brought him to tell him he had the job.

It was a good movie. Will was great and he and his son had awesome on screen chemistry. I almost cried and clapped at the end. Very touching and uplifting. I did think that it got a little to precious at times but it worked overall.

8/10

I voted 8

great movie, best acting will smith has done

i reserve 10's for star wars, and pulp ficitions, and 9s for Pirates, and Departeds

Great movie. Will Smith's best performance.

Am I right in thinking this is It's A Wonderful Life-esque movie in that it's 95% pure depression/downer with a 5 minute happy ending that's supposed to make everything okay? Because that's the feeling I get and definitely don't wanna see that kinda movie.

There are moments of light during the journey but it's mostly one heck of an ordeal to overcome.

just saw it, great movie

I'm so buying it.
The DVD artwork looks great. All DVD's should use the theatrical posters for covers.

This movie made me really tear up (:o ) 5 or 6 different times.
The final scene made me cry.

Will Smith's full of himself. It takes me out of his movies. I didnt like it man.
