Windows Messenger is broken

So, a few weeks back, my msn stopped working, and kept coming up with a troubleshooting error message. I thought it'd be okay, if I left it a while, but ever since then all I ever get is the same message. Recently its been telling me that my Firewall is blocking it, but I turned the Firewall off, and it still didnt work!
So Ive gone through my internet options incase something is changed, and I cant find anything wrong. I even uninstalled, then reinstalled the program, incase I'd deleted files, and it still doesnt work. Can anyone help me Pleaseeeee?

Chances are its your anti virus software. Which are you using? could you get another anti virus progam and install that and take the other off?

Out of interest whos your ISP?

Im on BT broadband. Virus protection? well, I turned the windows updates off because I have next to no hard drive left...
As for anti-virus I use norton anti virus corporate edition.

Hmmm odd one this, Norton normally works well with MSN

Have you tried the connections bit on MSN to see if everything is right?

Haha not met (yet) spoke to him online a few months ago about 6 weeks before Hot Fuzz came out.

Anyway i have NO idea what the problem with it is

You can get on VIA a browser you know, just click start msn and it will ask you to log in (we shall see if your password is wrong!) and it acts as a basic MSN (no games) but you can talk to your contacts
