Why Is My Windows Live Messenger Not Working?

Everytime I try to sign on, it locks up and I have to close it. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it twice, and that doesnt help. I ran my virus scan and it was clean. This just started 2 days ago. Anyone have any idea what it might be?

At best I can suggest rolling your system back a few days and rescanning for virus and malware.

I system restored it to friday, and it seems to be working...tonight I'm gonna de-frag while I'm asleep and then run my anti-virus again tomorrow
