Who is going to buy this once it comes out?

It's always better to buy the Windows operating system a couple of years after it comes out, so the problems can be rectified.

Once it comes out? No.... im going to leave it for a year or so, so they can work out all those kinks they WILL have :D

Edit : Dam you Jonty!

I will probably buy it a few months after it comes out, if not shortly after it comes out.

So I can learn it, tweak it, ect..

That is what Service Packs are for, to fix issues....

Im sorry :(

So Mr Malice what features are you most looking forward to from Vista? I would say easy access to my files and what not (even though i kind of have that now) plus the whole media centre side of it :D

I'll wait and see how well it takes off first. I may download it though and install it on my POS computer and see how it works on it.

Heh, that is why you build custom install CD's

I already have an operating system that does all the things Vista claims it's going to be able to do and more, and I don't have to buy new hardware to run it, either. Why bother with Vista?

You make a living off of it, so I can understand your need to learn Vista. Anyone else is just a masochist. :D

No way could I ever justify the price for something that really isn't going to change my computer experience that much.

I remeber stepping from 3.1 to 95, that was mind blowing :D

As some of you know, I'm in the process of building my computer. I'm going to load it up with the latest windows XP and in about 3 years, then Vista.

How much will vista be? because it would be aload on your cost anyway if you didn`t wait 3 years (or more!) Xp pro is only just coming down in price

I want Aero Glass, dammit!

There are going to be anywhere from 3 to 6 variations of Vista. The really cheap version will not have the neat Vista options, but will only cost a couple of hundred dollars. The top business version will probably be similarly priced to the current top business version of XP.
