I know there have been Witchblade threads in the pas,t but id like to make one that had everything, casting, story etc. So Im wondering, how would you guys do a Witchblade movie? What would be the story for the movie? Who would you cast?
Ill post my ideas later on

They can't make it faithful without making it R.

Its best suited to direct to dvd.

They shouldn't weasel out of the nudity or cheesecake like the tv show did.

i think if they wnated to do a more faithful adaptation, it would be too big budget for a DTV movie IMO

It would be a much bigger risk financially releasing a faithful Witchbade in theatres.

That would mean the investors would want to tone down the sex and violence to appeal to more people.

maybe, maybe not, plus its just a thread, this isnt about what they would do with the movie, its what YOU would do,screw all the hollywood crap for now

Ok, why hasn't anyone posted any pics of swimsuit models yet?

Alright.

I'd make it like an 80's action flick. Lots of gruesome violence, over the top mayhem and lots of gratutious nudity with a smoking hot Italian actress who isn't afraid to show her body in it. My pick for Sara Pezzezzi would be Asia Argentino.

The story must have some heart and intelligence but overall it'd just be a huge guilty pleasure type movie.

Asia Argentino is hot! i wouldnt mind her, tohugh my choice is Rhona Mitra, shes pretty, shes an underrated actress and shes pretty good with action type roles

I wonder what's happening with that.

Witchblade sucks. Didn't the tv show pretty much fail miserably too?

I have no problem with Rhona Mitra but how about Susan Ward or Carla Gugino for Sara?

'Witchblade' sharpened for bigscreen

Trio team on live-action feature of comic

By MICHAEL FLEMING

Platinum Studios, Top Cow Prods. and Arclight Films will team on a live-action feature adaptation of "Witchblade," based on the Top Cow comicbook franchise.

The comicbook introduced the Witchblade mythology, which centers on an ornate jewel-encrusted gauntlet that gives extraordinary powers to the wearer, a specially chosen female from each generation.

Pic will be produced by Arclight's Gary Hamilton and Nigel Odell, Platinum Studios' Scott Mitchell Rosenberg and Steve Squillante of Havenwood Media. Top Cow's Marc Silvestri and Matt Hawkins will be exec producers with Platinum Studios' Rich Marincic and Greenberg Group's Randy Greenberg.

The comicbook franchise has sold more than 100 million copies worldwide since debuting in 1995 and spawned a 2000 telepic that turned into a weekly series that ran for two seasons on TNT. "Witchblade" has been published in more than 21 languages and 55 countries, with merchandise widely sold. The most recent incarnation was an anime TV show in Japan by Gonzo Digimation in 2006.

"This property is the cornerstone of our upcoming production and sales slate," said Arclight CEO Gary Hamilton. "We hope to be able to start production in September."

The companies are already eyeing a location shoot in Australia.

Deal comes as Universal prepares a June 27 release on the Timur Bekmambetov-directed "Wanted," which stars Angelina Jolie, James McAvoy and Morgan Freeman. Pic is an adaptation of a Will Eisner-created comic that Top Cow published from 2003-05.

Platinum Studios is involved in screen transformations of several titles from its comics library, including "Atlantis Rising," a DreamWorks drama being produced by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, and "Cowboys and Aliens," another DreamWorks title that Kurtzman and Orci are producing with Imagine Entertainment. Platinum Studios has a Disney deal for "Unique" and is partnered with Hyde Park Entertainment on "Dead of Night," based on the Italian comicbook series "Dylan Dog."

Titsblade? Honestly, the comic may have started very cheesecake but it has moved way beyound that Sarah's armor looks nothing like underwear now. I look forward to the movie.

I loved the show, the series was meant to be a one season mini-series it did well enough in the ratings for TNT to give it a second season and apparently it didn't get a third season because the main star had a drinking problem. I can't wait for a movie I hope it turns out good.

If they make a Witchblade movie, I hope they will be faithful to the look of WB and not make it look like a medieval knight like the cancelled TNT series. Oh, and make it rated R as well.

Why does this need to be R? I haven't seen that many issues of the comic, but really it can pull of a pg-13. There isn't any nudity in the comic, just alot of ass shots and side boob. So it sounds pg-13 to me.

thats an awesome poster. I cant believe this movie is actually gonna happen... and so soon. can't wait. I hope this is a sign of what the Witchblade will look like... and not armor like the show.

I DON'T!!! BRING ON THE PEZ! SO EXCITED.

Anyone who wants to read all 50 of the first issues can go here: http://www.comicoo.com/Witchblade/index.htm : and do so. I'm halfway through 14 and they are so good.

Is it me or does the teaser look like Jess Alba? If it is her than she would have to loose her baby weight like so, quickly.
