The Witches of Eastwick can now begin to cast their spells with the signing of Rebecca Romijn as Roxie, the head witch on the newborn show now designated as Eastwick. The lady that played the blue-hued shapeshifter Mystique in the three X-Men films joins Lindsay Price, Jaime Ray Newman and Veronica Cartwright on the program.
Just for the record there wasn't a Roxie character in the 1987 movie version of the show. That said, ABC's pilot will follow the same central premise as the movie and John Updike novel where three women discover that they have spellcrafting powers shortly after a mysterious gentleman comes calling to their small town.

No, there were reports that came out over the summer or before the season started sometime that she was rather unhappy with how they were using her character or something along those lines, and that the writers were planning on writing her character off, but in a way that will allow her to possibly return down the line. Which they did by having her [BLACKOUT]leave the country[/BLACKOUT], but that it wouldn't be as a regular, so we can look into possible guest appearances now and then most likely, but if this show tanks, there's always the possibility of them bringing her back to Betty.

yeah she was DEFINITELY very pregnant right before she left ugly betty. i do hope they bring her back, i loved her character!

and i LOVE rebecca romijn, she's amazing. i still wish PEPPER DENNIS hadnt failed!
