Not lying, as a kid I didn't buy many comics because there wasn't comic shops near me and they weren't sold at the stores my mom took me too. We went up to New York to visit family and went to the grocery store there. They had comics. There was this one I saw. It was Superman/Batman #3. As a kid, that was my favorite comic ever. A comic where Superman Batman team up? ****ing awesome. I remember the story. It's part 3 in Public Enemies but I understood what was going on. Lex was president and ordered a bounty on Superman. The entire issue was villains coming at Superman and Batman. Black Manta, Mr Freeze, Grodd, Shade, Shiva, Grundy, Mongul, Captain Cold, Sahrk head dude, I mean there were just villains upon villains coming after them. In the end, Captain Atom, Starfire, Katana, Black Lightning, and John Stewart GL showed up helping S/B and said there aren't here to help them but to take them in.

As a kid, I would take all my villain action figures and have Batman and Superman fight them. I had a Hulk and Thing so they were my Grundy and Mongul. Just a great ****ing comic. Loeb gets a pass for making my childhood.

I think I just found my new amazon purchase this week lol Roger Stern Spider-Man omnibus and Daredevil yellow I procrastinated buying it for to long plus I dig the retro Daredevil costume.

Daredevil Yellow & Hulk Grey sadly I haven't I saw them at the library and Tim Sale Cover alone said buy it lmao The only book I ever kept from a library was Spider-Man Blue ended up paying for it a year later.Superman/Batman Public Enemies I have and loved it he was one of the few who could balance both Bruce/Clark personalities and still plot a strong story line that felt like an event using so many characters. Superman for All Seasons Is a great read also. I'm from New York and it was around the time the first X-MEN film dropped I got into comics when we moved to Nc it slowed down a bit but I have been collecting since 2001.

“I think I’m probably a little bit of the militant here,” said Arad. “I think it will take a moment in which we’ve run out of ideas. There's so much to tell about Spider-Man. There's so much to tell about the Sinister Six. The relationship between Spider-Man and Venom will bring a whole other world in.”

He even drew a parallel with the source material behind the films. “We did it in the books; we did team-ups all the time. Even with DC. You know, we'd flip a coin, 'Okay, who's going to win, Batman or The Hulk? We'll make a cover out of it.'

“But we really feel very confident that we have so much to do […] Peter Parker is unique; he's really different. He's not an Avenger. He's not an X-Man. He's unique and we revere that. And we'd rather work really hard to have the right ideas than – you know in the toy business we used to make toys glow in the dark when they weren't selling well and it gave at least another Christmas. We don't need it yet.”

Arad’s co-producer on The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Matt Tolmach, acknowledged the interest that surrounds the idea of a crossover movie, but he also believes that there is enough within the Spider-Man universe alone to sustain future instalments and that any potential cameo in another series could feel like a "stunt".

“You know Avi always refers to that question as a stunt," he says. "If you were to do that, you know, Spider-Man in the Avengers is a stunt. And I get why everybody – you know, fans and audience members and movie goers – I understand it.

“When you think about the Sinister Six and you think about Venom and you think about Carnage and you think Spider-Man in whatever way you want in association with those movies, they feel like they're built for Spider-Man. Like that's where his story needs to go and wants to go and it has to be about more than a stunt.

“Stunts can be cool but it's also a business, and so the other side of the answer is they're owned by different companies. And there's a ton left in Sony's world; there's a lot of business left because there's a lot of story left. So for them to want to take this character and put it with Marvel and Disney is a huge undertaking and probably, as Avi's saying, isn't necessary until you feel like, 'Wow, we're sort of out of ideas. What should we do?' And we're far from out of ideas.”

Tbh its spin i'm not a huge fan of Avi but he does know he has to hype this brand up and feel confident in it he isn't gonna say we are joining the competition in the press/media until the deal is done (I don't see it happening anyway but anything is possible).

I'm pretty hopeful now with the Venom movie. Avi mentioned the relationship between Spiderman and Venom. Hmm...maybe that means they are going the Alien route and that Peter will get the suit first. I don't see how they could do it without him getting the suit first. It just depends on WHAT film he will get the suit in. I vote for 3.

The lore of Venom is the relationship between the suit and Peter and the downfall of Eddie Brock. The trick is making it compelling on screen. I think that JJJ will be introduced next movie along with Brock.

Up until the 90s he was never an Avenger, and he was a reserve member then, and his role was very limited
He never became a full Avenger before The New Avengers bit back in 2005 or something like that

I think Spidey operates better alone, I'm not fond of him joining any team
