WMI Error - Help Needed

I keep getting this Windows Pop Up

& from what I read it is a Service Pack problem & I have Service Pack 1a. I am going to reformat I tried uninstalling Service Pack 1a but now I have even more problems. Any help would would be great thanks in advanced

upgrade to Service Pack 2

or if you don't want to do that go to google and type in WMI problem or WMI troubleshoot.

Everytime I use Service Pack 2 (everytime) the task bar eventually freezes to hell
