Wolverine ranked #1 Fictional Power Player in Hollywood!

Get over yourselves, really. People in Iraq suffer.

Pot, meet kettle. Kettle, meet pot.

The thing is...I felt really bad for the Cyclops fans. I'd be totally bummed if my favorite character was getting killed off, and I do think Cyclops should have had a bigger part in X3.

I don't go onto the Cyclops boards and start ranting, because that's the place for Cyclops fans to say what they have to say.

But after reading post after post after post like yours...the sympathy has worn thin. It's like listening to a 6-year-old having a tantrum.

And if it doesn't? What then?

Again...whoop-dee-freakin-do.

Not a chance. That movie will be a classic.

It's worse than a young child having a coniption fit at one of those damn ball pits that are so popular these days, simply because those kids don't go on and on and on and on and on........they have their fit and that's that.

Let me guess...because Wolverine isn't in it?!

But when you think about it, Superman Returns was directed by Bryan Singer. You know, the guy who directed the first two X-Men movies. The guy who put Wolverine front and center.

Can't really escape it, can you?? :)

Cyke is getting killed off. In the comics. In the movie was bad enough, but now it's the comics.

That's the last straw.

If anyone other than Wolverine was ever given a chance to shine in these movies, I could have maybe tolerated him. Hell, I've put up with him in the comics since the 70's.

FOX and Tom Rothman put Wolverine front and center.

Singer wanted to go away from that for the next movies. And now he's gone. The two are not unrelated.

But...he'll still be in the comics you already have, right? It's not like he's disappearing off the face of the earth. Or real.

You've been this mad since the 70s?

I still don't see how this was all Wolverine's fault. He's just popular.

Reality TV is popular, and I don't like it. I just watch something else.

Actually...Bryan connected with the Wolverine figure because was adopted, and he liked the idea of character connecting with his lost past.

There's also a behind-the-scenes video of him explaining to Hugh why he didn't want Wolverine to wear the mask.

It's sooooo easy being a Wolverine fan. You never have to worry about crap like this.

You don't get it. You can't.

That doesn't matter. He still wanted to focus on other characters.

Besides, it was Cyclops, not Wolverine, who grew up as an orphan.

Of course they gave Cyclops no background at all in the movies, as part of their campaign to sabotage any chance the character might have had.

What...do think I wear Wolverine pajamas and dress like him when I go to work??

I like the character. I'm a big sci-fi/comics geek and a musical theater geek, so I totally adore Hugh Jackman.

But I like a lot of things. This just happens to be one of them.

I worry about a lot of things. Not things like this.

You don't get it. You can't.

Your attitude? No, I don't get it.

They're much, much better movies than the X-Men movies. It's not even close.

All the X-Men movies have had going for them is Stewart and Marsden. All the other characters are badly miscast. Plus Wolverine is the worst character that has ever existed.

Thanks to that POS and his idiot fans, they're now killing Cyclops in the comics. I have nothing but complete and total hate for him and his supporters. They can all go to hell.
haha. That's laughable.

Not Miscast
Ian McKellen
Ellen Page
Aaron Stanford
Ben Foster
Ray Park
Rebecca Romijn
Patrick Stewart
James Marsden
Famke Janssen
Anna Paquin
Alan Cumming

You only think he's the worst character ever because you have the most stupid vendetta ever.

That doesn't negate the first two movies.

Bryan Singer is adopted. That was the connection he made with Wolverine looking for his own past.

Wolverine is over 100 years old. Are you saying there's no story there?

Of course they gave Cyclops no background at all in the movies, as part of their campaign to sabotage any chance the character might have had.

Far as I can see, they took a lot of liberties with most of the characters...if not all of them in the movies. I don't see how this was a whole-hearted effort to screw Cyclops.

Ask any kid out there and they'll pick Spidey and Potter over Wolverine.

Any kid under 12. The ranking is not based on how children rate it. It's how much of a power player he is overall and it's not just based on box office, and it's not all aimed at kids. Clearly a Wolverine movie is gonna be darker than any X-movie we've seen and won't pull in the box office of Spiderman or Potter but it should do extremely well and hopefully provide us with a Weapon X trilogy. Wolverine as a character is also a member of the X-films, lots of toys, games, comic books, etc...He's in more places than Potter or Shrek ever will be in.

I'm not doubting Wolverine's ever expanding popularity, but to say that he's in more places than Potter will ever be is a bit of an overstatement . . .

No it's not an overstatement. Wolverine has comic books, graphic novels, X-Men movies (3), a solo movie coming out, multiple X-Men TV cartoons, and more x-men/wolverine merchandise than harry potter will ever have. Potter has what 6 or 7 books. Where was he before the first movie? Wolverine had already sold billions in merchandise with the X-MEN before anyone saw the first Harry Potter films and will continue to do so. How many Harry Potter games have you seen in your life? Now how many games with Wolverine in it have you seen? ...and there's much more to come. Outside the books Harry Potter has nothing else to tell. X-Men has an ongoing 30 years of history with Wolverine. Potter will come and go but the X-men will be around long past your grand kids are dead in one form or another.

Wow, if he'd have Wolverine-churches, he'd be bigger than God!

YAY! GO WOLVIE!!

This can only be a good thing and potentially lead to more opportunities for Wolvie and the other X-Men!!

No, Wolverine fans just have to put up with an assload of whining Cyclops fans on a REGULAR frikkin' basis. Yes, he died in the movie. Yes, it sucked. Done. Deal.

And NO! For the first and final damn time, Cyclops is not, I repeat NOT being killed off in Warsong. Jesus. That scene with Emma is not reality. Warsong focuses on the Stepford Cuckoos and their remnant of Phoenix. Hell in that scene on the net it shows Emma wasting a bunch of students in the hall and Peter. NOT happening. Deal.

And a big **whohoo** to Wolvie. I love him, but he's a Marvel cashcow ****e and I'm getting oversaturated.

And people said Cyke would come back in act 3 of X3 as well.

Marvel are a bunch of ****es. Wolverine fans are idiots. They would kill Scott off in a heartbeat.

McKellen...tooo old.
Ellen Page-okay
Stanford-pretty good.
Ben Foster-nowhere near good enough looking
Ray Park-okay
Patrick Stewart-perfect
James Marsden-great, although if Caviziel had been available I'd probably be praising X3 and how much respect Cyke got in it.
Famke Janssen-way too old. Looks like she's robbing the cradle.
Anna Panquin-badly miscast
Alan Cumming-good choice but horrible attitude.

You only think he's the worst character ever because you have the most stupid vendetta ever.

I think he's the worst character ever because I don't blindly and mindlessly follow whatever's popular. Cyclops was robbed of his place in X3 and will soon be dead in the comics because of that crappy character and it can be traced directly to him and more importantly, his stupid-ass fans.

How original. Grow the **** up.
