Woman Asks 911 For Permission To Kill Intruder

I think any dude would be a little scared, big and bad he may be, if he hears someone trying to get into his house regardless of weapons and know how being available. It's still an unknown entity.

Yeah but probably less so if you have a gun that can blow said intruder's head off.

Yeah, if that happened here in Australia, I think she'd be in big trouble.

And that reporter's voice was pretty hilarious.

Translation: **** my pants and cry in a corner.

:lmao:

And to think Australians used to be tough badasses who killed the deadliest animals in the world with nothing but a curved stick.

Well, what do they want you to do? You shoot the guy, you go to jail. What do they expect? Hope he only beats you half to death and robs you blind?

Is there any more fundamental right than the right to defend yourself, and your family in your own home?

Just seems like an odd concept.

I completely agree, but unfortunately I don't make the law (someday... :o)

Seriously, if she had physically harmed him in defence (say, with a baseball bat) then she would probably be punished for it. Ridiculous, I know.

I'm glad she is protected by the law, I've heard too many cases in the UK where the initial victim is punished for protecting themselves and their property from intruders.

I just love the part where they say she shot the man immediately as he entered the door lol

I'm glad she did the right thing. Her and the baby are safe. It's sad her husband died of cancer. So she needs to protect herself and her child. I'd say she's doing a fine job!

It just amazes me that in some places she would face jail time for protecting herself and her baby.

Some people say there's a big difference between breaking in to someone's house to steal stuff, and breaking in to rape and murder everyone inside. How is a person defending themselves to differentiate the purpose of someone breaking in? Ask politely as they are walking in?

Exactly. How is anyone supposed to know the person intentions. If your breaking into someone's house you forfeit all rights.

more power to her.

sadly if this happen in the uk she would be up for murder, hell if she hit him with a bat she would have done time for assault

In the UK a farmer was locked up for blowing away from robber low life.
He eventually got out and everyone agreed he was awsome. Then he joined the BNP and people thought, maybe not so awsome.

Sadly like my fellow UK posters have said before any violent criminal can break into your house and you can't do anything to protect yourself because the law is in favour of the criminal :csad:

defending yourself and your family is against criminals 'human rights' supposedly :whatever:

What struck me most about this situation was that it took the cops more than 21 minutes to respond. Where in Oklahoma does she live that the response time is that bad? Did the dispatcher not dispatch them?

Well, then mark me down as a human rights violator, I suppose. I have several sharp knives within arms reach in my house. If someone breaks in, I'll get to show them my SCA techniques that I honed over 4 years of fighting, as well as bayonet training I learned in the Army.

Actually, there was a case not that long ago where someone used a Japanese sword to kill a burglar. Don't rob Samurai Jack's house.

People often underestimate how deadly swords can be.

Who does?

A couple years ago, a schizophrenic person broke into my friends house, screaming that they were going to kill them. My friend called the cops, grabbed his gun and ran out the back door. When the cops came they told my buddy that he did the right thing. If he had stayed in the house and shot the guy, he would be facing manslaughter charges. Ridiculous. A lot of states say the only way you can defend yourself with deadly force is if you literally are backed into a corner with no escape and the intruder is coming at you with the intent to kill. Even then, you're not fully free if prosecution. It's totally insane.

Kudos to ther mother for protecting her child and herself against that intruder. But next time, she should just pull the trigger instead of calling 911; she did nothing wrong here because it was self-defense.
