..for 16 hours!

http://www.mobiledia.com/news/90916.html

A woman, who had talked on her cell phone for 16 straight hours, was removed from an Amtrak train, in a move that brought smiles to millions across the nation, and serves as a warning to chatty passengers.

Police charged Lakeysha Beard with disorderly conduct after a verbal altercation with other passengers.

Beard and her victims were sitting in a "quiet car" where talking on the phone is prohibited. The 39-year-old reportedly ignored repeated announcements from the train crew telling passengers not to use cell phones. She was able to continue her marathon-long conversation due to Amtrak's phone charging stations.

Beard, after spending an entire waking day talking on a cell phone in a train car, said she felt "disrespected."
She felt disrespected? LOL

Not only is she being an idiot for not following the rules for God only knows why, but how the puck does one talk on the phone for 16 freakin hours????

I'm more outraged that there's a "quiet car". Learn to ignore things you low attention span having lumps!

16 hours?!!? Good lord, whose is footing the bill for that? Unless she has one of those unlimited minute deal thingys.

She has a big mouth for being on the phone for 16 hours.

What shocks me is that they waited 16 hours before kicking her obnoxious ass off the train, I'd of thrown her in front of the train after that long!

And I can't believe people are still getting sucked into cellphone contracts, the only benefit is having top of the line models and internet access, but it really isn't worth it when you consider how screwed you get... I have all I want, anytime I want for less than 40 bucks a month... YAY ME.

That woman must be a motormouth.

You're right. Next time I see 'Thor', I'm going to have loud phone sex for two hours. Anyone front to me, I'm gonna tell 'em "Ignore me you low attention span having lumps! My girl is all tellin' me 'bout her nice breasteses!!" :o

The quiet car is for people who like quiet. What a revolutionary concept.

**** those people. They're whiny little *****es.

Yeah, Metra recently started it. I don't want to hear about your personal drama, and the thing is when people talk on their phones, they have no idea how goddamn loud they are.

Am I the only one who has some kind of headphone using music player?

Okay wiseass, what do you do while you're on the train?

Sleep. And read. And think of ways to annoy you on the Hype. :oldrazz:

You guys have ten loud cars. Let us have at least one quiet car. I don't want to hear about Lakeysha Beard's day, fascinating as it may be.

It was a frickin quite car! She was such an idiot! All she had to do was go to another car.

All I'm saying is that thinking that you can get quiet anywhere near other living things is just plain dumb.

The quiet car is usually quiet. That is its purpose. People who want to sleep or read or study or if they have a headache... they go to the quiet car. Those who want to talk go to the other cars. That's how its worked since the dawn of man. Lakeysha could talk, but tragically not read the big sign that said 'Quiet Car'.

I've been commuting for 15 years, and people are just downright inconsiderate and annoying when it comes to their phones. Even with my headphones on, you can still hear them. And we don't want to hear them.

That's why we have a quiet car. If you want to talk on your phone, don't sit in that car.
