Wonder if they're using the old Al Hirt theme song?

No old timers on here that know or care about that?

I'm sure they'll do some kind of update.... Probably with an urban beat.

They MUST use that song, unchanged. That is the best Tv theme song ever. They MUST USE IT,MUST USE IT.........they're using the old Black Beauty,i bet they use the old song.

Maybe they'll do what the Iron Man and Spider-Man movies did and give some kind of subtle nod to it (a ringtone, a street musician, a band in a nightclub, etc.)

I doubt they'll us it as it originated from thr RADIO SHOW and it doesn't look like they are using too many elements from the radio days of TGH

Well, I was wondering if anyone was going to comment on that. I thought to myself as I got up this morning (and it's funny--the things that go through your head as you're waking up) "Surely, I'm not the only one who's wondered about this!"

I heard Al Hirt in concert, on a rainy night, the night the 'Who shot JR?' episode aired. Seemed like everyone stayed home to watch that show but us. He even came out after intermission and told the bare bones audience who did it. He then played it as one of his encores.

I bet they'll do an electric guitar version of it. Plenty of guys out there with fast enough fingers to play "Flight of the Bumblebee" these days.

I'm not an old timer, but I am familiar with the Flight of the Bumblebee theme song. I think the opening credit sequence should have it, as well as part of the closing credits. It's actually a ripping trumpet part that would still work today.

Now there's someone with an awareness of the world and respect for their elders (or the past) <as I reset my false teeth>

Flight of the Bumblebee by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov was used for the radio show and movie serials.
The TV show used Al Hirt's Green Hornet Theme, which uses motifes inspired by the earlier piece.

Hopefully, the movie will have music that's as exciting and dynamic, whether or not the exact tunes about are used.

The 60s Al Hirt song for the end credits and maybe in a action sequence and a orchestral Flight of the Bumblebee for the intro.I would also like to hear a new version bringing it up to the times! If its good. No rap, thankyouverymuch.

The rendition of Flight of the Bumblebee that Aurélien POITRIMOULT used in his 2006 fan film is pretty good. (The scoring through-out works very well too)

It's a shame, POITRIMOULT's fan film is everything a Hollywood Green Hornet movie should have been...
