Hey guys, I haven't read the GN so forgive me.(I'm waiting on my copy from amazon to arrive) I know it's set in 1985 and I was watching the trailer for the 30th time and I noticed that when the Night Owl's ship rises out of the water and flies off, that you can see the twin towers in the new york skyline. Is this a part of the GN and what do you think of having them in? OR am I just seeing things and it's no big deal?

Well I don't think they were a big part of the GN if that's what you were asking? But they are there in the trailer.

same here, i don't know but i think its cool that they are being used again... even though they are only cgi :(

well in 1985 they were part of the new york city skyline, so i think it's appropriate to have them. it would be inaccurate not to.

They weren't necessarily a part of the story or anything, but seeing as the story takes place when they're still standing, they should be there.

I was going to say the same thing.

I agree, and its neat to see them in the trailer, they look fine.

I don't remember the World Trade Center being in the graphic novel but since Watchmen in 1985 it has to be there.

It is cool that it is there. They are in the novel. Only in that scene though but it is cool to see them.

In the latest video journal I realized you can see them again in this shot:

I'm glad that he is staying accurate with it.

Not sad to see them, but cool they put them in due to the timeline.

I'm happy to see them. They're still part of our past and Watchmen takes place in the past. I'm glad someone has the balls to finally use them again in a movie.

That shot is going to look really cool on screen.

I think seeing the Towers may put the ending in a different light when you're watching the movie a second time

Alot of Bad things happen in NYC. And this is in an alternate reality past, nothing from the real world 16 years in their future should matter.
