I can't exactly pin point a specific site, but that's just one of many things i've heard about different races. There was a talk show on a while ago (can't remeber who's ) where ppl where on there that hated being their race. There was an Asian girl on there who wanted to be white, and hated feeling out of place in her school.

I find that ppl that do wish they could change their race are ones that feel as that girl did; out of place. You have white guys wishing they were black when living in an all black neighborhood, and going to an all black school, etc. I think the need to change race is nothing more than a feeling as to want to look like everyone else in their region. But i also think it's a phase. The older you get, the less these trivial things bother you.

I also wanted to add you your comment, and find that it is a great generalization. No ofense, but if ALL asians as you claim are so proud of heritage whatnot, why is it that as soon as they come to the west they change their name to Sue, Sally or Betty or whatever...?
