WOW! If This Could Have Only Happened...

It would have been interesting to see, no doubt about that.

The father/son big brother/little brother element would've been a lot more evident visually.

*sigh*

If only...IF only...

As much as i love Keaton as Batman, i don't see him doing a much better job with Forever than Kilmer did, considering he would of obviously been uncomfortable with more speech as Batman and Kilmer was good anyway.

Thats a pretty cool pic. But you know whats even better? That Keaton and Chris Reeve did a movie together called Speechless.

I really cant see Keatons Batman teaming up with anyone even Robin to be honest, never mind Superman.

With two Batman films already under his belt, I'd wager Keaton would hold more creative control over his characterization of Batman than Kilmer did. He would've had the authority to change the script. He already did with "Batman Returns" if you recall Daniel Waters talking about how Keaton suggested he have less dialogue than what was on the written page for that film.

Much like Reeve with Superman, Maguire with Spiderman and Snipes with Blade, had Keaton stayed on board, I think he would've had enough authority on the character to warrant doing with it what he would've felt necessary.

Obviously, upon reading the "Forever" script, it must've been far and away too childish and corny for even Keaton's portrayal of Batman to save. I'm sure had the script been dark enough, Keaton could've come in and amped up his performance to make "Batman Forever" even darker.

Then again, he also didn't want to be type-cast as Batman (too late in my opinion) and he had a sense of loyalty to Burton as a director.

I agree, Keaton's Batman would not take a child on his wing than become his sidekick.

I'm glad I didn't see it that way. Would make me look back on the first two Batman films with Keaton with a bad taste in my mouth

It's always awesome to see actors from various comic properties in a picture or film together... closest we'll get a team-up/'what ifs'/ etc.

Hoping though, praying... for a Batman & Superman film and Avengers film, JLA.

Here's another great crossover picture: Cesar Romero at the 1989 premiere of Batman!

That's a great find!
