I'm looking for a talented artist to collaborate on a book with. I know how much talent is here on this board, and would like to work with one of you. I'm looking for a particular style, so, just post some of your work if you're interested...and I'll tell you if it’s the style I'm looking for.

ROBIN: OUT OF THE DARKNESS

Tim Drake became Gotham’s third Robin so he could bring light into Batman’s life. He wanted to make him slow down, to make him calculate the risks of his actions. He was never a tremendous fighter; however, he was a highly skilled detective. He was one of the few people to deduce the identity of Batman and the original Robin, Dick Grayson. The boy had tremendous potential. Bruce Wayne even had him on the short list of successors to the Batman mantel.

Following the events of ‘War Games’ and’ Identity Crises’, Tim Drake became increasingly more like Bruce Wayne- cold, cynical. More and more- tragedy made him a perfect candidate for the mantel of Batman. He lost his long time girlfriend, Stephanie Brown at the hands of crime kingpin, the Black Mask, and his father was murdered by an assassin.

Tim began to lose the light that he originally wanted to show the Dark Knight. Without it, there slowly became no need for a Robin. This was until Tim Drake met a young woman, Allie Spencer. It was after his experience with this young woman, that he realized that the light that he had drowned out in the past years was what he has really been looking for, a reason to pull himself- Out of the Darkness.

WOW!

You are very talented.

To me, that IS Allie. When she is under Hatter's control, hat and all.

Your frames of Wolverines fight sequence were beautiful...great sense of story telling.

Also, as far as scheduling- there is absolutly no rush. I still haven't totally scripted this yet. I'm doing it as just a fun side project. Glad to know that you're interested, and your talent would be greatly apprieciated.

BTW: Also love your "Bob Kane" style Batman. Kind of the angle I want to go, with the real simple approach to Batman's look/costume. I think you'd be great for this.

If you're saying this based on the story outline- then that's awesome....gives me a great deal of confidence.

I'm looking at having the script hammered out in the next 2 weeks...then maybe a week of revisions, etc. Then hopefully being able to go ahead with the art on it.

After than, if the artist wants to color it, on photoshop or whichever, I'd love that. BUT, I think I have a colorist in mind for this project already.

Well,

I see that you can do VERY realistic stuff. The look I'm going for is kind of like the art in, BATMAN: BROKEN CITY.

That gritty feel. But, I would like it tight and fine. But I think that that picture of the girl...a little younger, is what I had in my head for the character of Allie. If you'd like and have time, I'd be interested to see what a quick scetch of the main characters would look like: Batman, Dick, Allie, Hatter, and Gordon. I really like you're style and think it'd be awesome if you'd do this.

Seriously tho Im just tryin to encourage ya,..Ive been there man trust we.If you find yourself doin something dumb,like watchin Lost or whatever,just say to yourself"I should be drawin"You REALLY are great and if you dont stay sharp youl get worse after a while,hate to see that !

lol, the job I have is a design job, so it's still art related. And I don't watch Lost. I tend to watch movies, and I tend to either sketch or do guitar while sitting at home with the movies.


And I got the script's and saved them. Read the first part, and it's cool so far.

Oh, I was just wondering why this thread resurfaced. I thought you'd found an artist in MadMaximus?
