He's had some scheduling conflicts.

So I'm shopping around again. He's going to do what he can- but I'm looking someone else too.

Yes, as I mentioned scheduling conflicts would be only problem, and it seems to ring true. I'm still pretty sure I can handle the first chapter and probably some promotional pin up stuff. I'm going to be sending Robin here some of my sketched ideas for his approval. I've already toyed with Robin's costume a little bit, and I hope he digs what I did.

Hmmm....as long as they aren't anything particularly "spoilerly".

They aren't lettered, and if you're doing work with Part One, only the last two pages would would be particularly spoilery.

Since I'm stuck at work with nothing to do, I decided to scan in real quick one of the sketches I did during one of my lunch breaks a few days ago. I was toying with the idea of Robin wearing goggles rather than that Lone Ranger mask thingy i always hated.

Dude- I love that. When I scrolled down and read "goggles", I thought "oh crap, he's gonna look like a swimmer"....but that looks AWESOME! It has a Spider-man quality to it.

His face looks PERFECT with the little smirt etc, and the hair length is just how I picture it.

And the little full body scetch you have- I'd change one thing: scallope the edges of the cape like he wears now.

I really like the color scheme and the new cape of the OYL costume- with the goggles you've designed...it's the perfect Robin suite.

Yeah, his suite is now taken on the characteristics of Batman's. He has scalloped edges on his cape, and the "spikes" on his gloves.

I LOVE your scketch and ideas with the goggles btw.

More sketches, two images featuring warm ups and a profile shot for the character of Allie, and the last was a warm up of the Hatter. For some reason, i always picture the Mad Hatter like he's Ludwig Van Beethoven, lol. These are just rough ideas really, you do have the ultimate approval.

OH MY GOD!!!!!

You really have no idea how awesome I think these are!

Allie looks perfect. She looks young, but mature, beautiful, but attainable and real, perfect.


And then the Hatter-- I PICTURE HIM AS BEETHOVEN TOO lol, always have- I think that's so weird. His face is perfect in the profile shot- grouchy, disturbed- and in the full shot, menacing....you're awesome.

I have decided, and have been told to persue something larger than SHH! boards with this project- so I feel it is best that it remains unseen by the public...however, I will post the Forward I wrote for it and the official title: here you go.

ROBIN: OUT OF THE DARKNESS

Tim Drake became Gotham’s third Robin so he could bring light into Batman’s life. He wanted to make him slow down, to make him calculate the risks of his actions. He was never a tremendous fighter; however, he was a highly skilled detective. He was one of the few people to deduce the identity of Batman and the original Robin, Dick Grayson. The boy had tremendous potential. Bruce Wayne even had him on the short list of successors to the Batman mantel.

Following the events of ‘War Games’ and’ Identity Crises’, Tim Drake became increasingly more like Bruce Wayne- cold, cynical. More and more- tragedy made him a perfect candidate for the mantel of Batman. He lost his long time girlfriend, Stephanie Brown at the hands of crime kingpin, the Black Mask, and his father was murdered by an assassin.

Tim began to lose the light that he originally wanted to show the Dark Knight. Without it, there slowly became no need for a Robin. This was until Tim Drake met a young woman, Allie Spencer. It was after his experience with this young woman, that he realized that the light that he had drowned out in the past years was what he has really been looking for, a reason to pull himself- Out of the Darkness.

Not at all. If you want to show me some of the designs of the characters like, Tim Drake, Mad Hatter, Robin, Batman, Gordon, etc...Pm me. I really loved the style that Madmax had, but cause of scheduling, he couldn't really get underway.
