I am not a cosplayer, but I've always been curious about cosplay.
(Sometimes a little disturbed by cross-players and stuff though, but
in general, curious about costume play itself.)
I guess it's because I adore X-Men fandom so much, but
I was curious about cosplay long before X-Men because of anime. I was passionate about anime at one time too.
Anyway, I've never gone to a comic con either and don't have any plans in the near future...or far off future, so being a cosplayer is kind of a sad little fantasy of mine. Plus my family already thinks I'm weird enough without dressing up as characters!
*NOT that anyone who cosplays is weird, but I know I would get a lot of flack for it.*
The closest thing to cosplay that I really,
really want to do
is make outfits based off certain characters for everyday wear.
I'm planning on sewing them myself because otherwise it would
cost upwards of 100 dollars to have a professional do so. And
it's really not much to sew because some peices I already have
by chance that go with the look I want.
All that said, it's nice seeing other people do it as a hobby. I enjoy
looking at their pictures and seeing how accurate they are and stuff. Those who have the time/circumstances to support such an expensive hobby must really enjoy what they do.
Anyway, it's nice you have an X-Men group. There's not enough X-Men cosplayers out there! ^_^ Please keep up the good work and have
