I can see why you would say that.

Lots of mutants have similar powers though. How many telepaths, super strength mutants and energy blast mutants are there out there? What is Polaris if not a female version of Magneto?

Yes a young vulnerable female version of the most aggressive masculine character is intriguing by itself but her background is also interesting as is the way she's been introduced to and reacted to the core X-Men.

There are a crapload of people with really similar powers or the same yet they are special in their own ways.
