I think it's a drug factory of some kind and that white powder is coke or heroin.

Look where it originates though. Unless the guy keeps a bag of bolivian marching powder in his left breast pocket, it must be blood.

To give you a closer look

It's most likely one of those effect thingy's (forget what they're called) that is triggered a tad bit early, and the guy's slight late reaction doesn't help either. May be digitally edited to be blood (for a PG-13 film? Hmm...)

It could also be (since the guy's gun is going off at the same time) a deflected bullet by Wade that goes right back and hits the thug himself.

It could also be Venom.

Could it be gun powder if Wade actually slices the gun itself? I'm still not buying it will be blood. not in a PG13 film.
