For those who just want to see the current franchise continue, I offer a few excerpts of concepts of X-Men: The Age of Apocalypse, the sequel to X-Men: The Last Stand.

The inspiration for this story is a combination between some of the most famous sagas in X-Men history, including Inferno and Legion Quest/Age of Apocalypse.

The following are not consecutive scenes, but just scattered portions. Draw your own conlusions from them:

Excerpt 1: A young man approaches Xavier's School looking to find the school's master. As he arrives, he looks around as if he's been there before, as if all is familiar to him when someone approaches from behind and puts their hand on his shoulder, it is Storm. The young man, startled releases a small concussive blast that knocks her several yards back, but only leaves her with a few bruises. The young man then runs to Storm to apologize and helps her up. She asks: "Who are you, and who are you looking for?", he replies: "It's me, Alex, Alex Summers. Don't you remember me? I'm here to pay respects to my brother." She then recognizes him, gives him a hug and escorts him into the mansion.

Excerpt 2: At an apartment in the Bronx, we find Erik Lensherr, formerly known as the deadly mutant, Magneto, asleep, but his sleep will soon be interrupted as a blast explodes through his window. He then wakes with fright as without his mutant abilities, he is helpless, as a young mutant floats through what is left of Erik's wall. Erik yells toward the mutant: "What do you want?", the mutant replies: "I want my father back!". As if only a warning, he turns and leaves.

Excerpt 3: Cairo, Egypt: As two archeologists are digging for the remains of what look to be the servants of the great pharoahs, they begin to feel the unstable land rumble as the arm of what looks to be a giant mummy is reaching to pull itself out. It then walks toward the two archaeologists, morphs into a being that has the appearance of a statue, grabs them both by the necks and tells them: "You are not fit to survive."

I'll post the rest later.

I like the idea of all 3.

I was thinking they would go that route or go for the Mr. Sinister idea.

Sinister is in my plans as well since I plan on adding elements of Inferno.

Sweet, bc I really think those are the only routes to go from here. Otherwise they won't build up right. You have to continue to make intense movies that equal or surpass in drama and excitement from movie to movie. For instance, it would be hard to go back and just have Magneto put together a group to attack the X-Men or have the gov't send agents to capture mutants again. I would like to see the mutants be some villains like the first movie rather than the gov't be the bad guys again.

Well, I don't mean to spoil it, but my storyline involves Apocalypse & the Horsemen, Sinister, Legion, Juggernaut, and later Madelyn Pryor as villains.

i would have loved to see an AoA storyline started in the 3rd film but they kinda messed it up to much to really make it work well..i think it coulda last at least 3 movies and actually been interesting all the way thru.. oh well

Cole Hauser would be a cool miser sinister if he wore juggernaut type of suit to buff him up a bit he has an evil look to him

Vin Disel would make a great Apocalypse

NEESON FOR SINISTER!!!!! he has the look and has the acting ability to literally knock us all on our asses!!

Think James Earl Jones from when he was in Conan The Barbarian as Thulsa Doom. He had the look back then for sure.

I like Clancy Brown for Apocalypse (mostly for the voice):

Colm Feore as Mr. Sinister

Age of Apocalypse was the IMO the best comic line ever to be printed.

I don't see how he could be played by an actor. He is just to odd shaped.
I think CG would be best for him.

^ agreed... I am just hoping for a commanding voice actor like Clancy Brown, or perhaps Michael Ironside.
