Probably eXclusive to Xbox and PC, unless they want people to also play it in another console.
 
Nice that they work on X1 too. Controller prices seem to have gone up a lot. :csad:

Where from? Find it difficult to believe a retailer would open pre-orders before the time (in 2 hours) MS already said they would punish those who opened pre-order early by limiting the # of consoles the got.

I am sitting here with bestbuy and Amazon (canadian) open waiting.. just in case, while I prep for my job interview that is later today.


Edit, looks like Australia did theirs early

Walmart.ca works, everywhere else (Bestbuy.ca, Amazon.ca) seems dead.

Ya I just got mine from Walmart.ca

Amazon does not seem to list a pre-order.. Bestbuy is dead lol. others.. listing sold out (?)

Though honestly I have never pre-ordered before. Always walked in day of the release (at bestbuy) and bought it from the shelf no issues.. but did it now just in case.

Did not get mine in they only had 10 at my store 8 disc 2 discless and I was 9 in line and the 8 ahead of me all got the disc ones oh well I still have time.

ah, man. that sucks. :( Hope you can manage to get one.

Just as a curiosity experiment, I've been trying for the past 2 hours on Best Buy with no luck. Largely the same issues as last week with the PS5. Only this time it's slightly more orderly with somewhat more descriptive error messages.......haha.

I'm not going to go through this mess for 7 hours again like last time. So, with that, I'm passing on the Series X and just glad I was able to secure a PS5.

best of luck to all of you trying to preorder. Hope you find success and enjoy your new Xboxes this Holiday.
 
my main issue with ordering online is most are shipping to you I do not want to have my package stolen from my porch. we have had it happen before with small stuff or at least those in my neighborhood. I would much rather get it from GS and make the payments and pick it up when it comes in stock in Nov.
 
My worry on the announced timeline Microsoft did was would that lead to them all getting snagged by scalpers. I am not in the market for one personally. I never bought the 360 or Xbox One. Always been a PS guy, and I did manage to get a PS5 order. But this ordeal with the preorder pros and cons had me curious.

How has this gone overall, Xbox users?

well, through Best Buy, you can choose the option to pick up in store. That's what I did for the PS5. For something like this, I don't want to risk it getting stolen from my porch, as you said.

I was too busy today to muck about with these sites and now I can only register my interest for the Series X. Apparently there is stock of the Series S but I'm not interested in that.

Ok. The retailer I ordered mine from still has them so not sold out over here.

Edit: damn, one store is charging 519 euros for Series X and 549 euros for the PS5 Blu-Ray drive version. Not sure why.
