Now, I'm far from a an expert, but I've been forced to watch enough episodes to know that this is pretty cheesy, even by Power Rangers standards

I mean, the villain is just a guy with a horn on his head! That costume makes the usual "big plastic octopus with remote-controlled mouthpiece" monster look foolishly over-budget. Besides, none of them can hold a candle to the guy who kicked my mind's ass as a kid: Lord Zed.

He was such a badass that he didn't even need skin. In fact, he was so confident in his ability to make your heart explode with terror that he didn't even need to cover the top of his head with skull.

Not only did he carry around a giant Z-staff, he even welded a Z-shaped hood ornament to his forehead, just to remind everyone what letter his name began with. A man who is so powerful that he can sacrifice countless hours out of his busy schedule to insure that his name is never improperly spelled is my definition of greatness.

Surprisingly, the villainn of that season was by far the most badass of all Power Rangers villains. His origin is that he was an archaologist working with the Red Ranger's parents who fell in love with the mother. However, when the Red Ranger's parents got married, and the mother got preggers, the guy went a tad crazy. While on a dig, he ate these fossolized seeds that were the essense of a demon, strangled his former friends to death, left their infant son in the jungle to die, and slowly descended further into madness as the memories of the demon who's essense he ate overtook him, and he eventually became a mass murdering psychopath who's main goals were to simply kill humans as he saw them as "impure."

Wow, that's pretty dark for Power Rangers. In any instance, I stopped watching the show whenever they got rid of Bulk & Skull. Those guys defined my childhood. Remember the episode when they did that thing? That was awesome.

And speaking of crap I liked as a kid, say hello to BIG. BAD. BEETLE. BORGS.

Ah, Flabber. Television just isn't the same without you.

One did the voice, one was in the suit. The fact that he was played by not one, but two of the coolest people on Earth makes him even more badass in my book.
