1. Nitro is dead meat. Namor will find a way to kill him for killing Namorita.

2. Patriot should now have Superpowers derived from captain America.

3. IronMan can NOW beat the BP only becuase of the virus he voluntarily ingested recently in his own title.

4. Every senior male Member of the Xmen have been either a horseman of apocolapse or killed then brought back to life?

5. Squirrel Girl will NEVER get any love from the comic industry.

I hope so. Namor needs to **** some **** up. He's gotten way to boring lately.

Why? Did I miss something? What makes you say this?

I don't really care

All true, so it means it wont happen.

ok, this one intriguied me for a minute

Horsemen:
Angel
Gambit
Sunfire
Wolverine
Cyclops (kind of, I'm thinking of when he was possessed)

Died and came back
Colossus
Professor X

Um, so what about Iceman, Nightcrawler and Beast? and depending on your definition of 'senior' X-Man, there's also Bishop, Cannonball, and Havok

Iceman was "killed" and brought back in a limited series where he explored his powers.

Nightcrawler was killed during the time period where Peter rasputins sister was running limbo - I think kitty phased him into a wall.

The beast has died twice,..
the first time trying to rid himself of his powers he had gained a healing factor that they don't talk about and died under a hail of bullets only to reanimate.

The second time when was sage jump-started his mutant ability on his deathbed to save his life.

Havok? C'mon,.... he died and ended up on the world where storm was a vampire.

Cannonball died during that event two decades ago where he was supposed to be one of a small number of elite mutants which I lost the thread on what happened,.. cuz he's not special anymore.

Bishop?
u got me.
he's been a conduit, a time traveler, a being of energy,.. but he never died or became a horseman.

those're some pretty obscure deaths, especially since they sound like they only lasted one issue, or just for a few minutes

Havok's consciousness got sent to another world and he was thought dead, but he wasn't

to some writers though "canon" i just a water pistol excuse the pun

(big grin)

The MARK of a great Comic Nerd is the amount of obscurity he /she can dredge up and have it recognized.

You compliment me sir,... you could've only done better by calling me a nerd.

Last week, on our friendly neighborhood "X-Men: The Comics" board, I posted
The X-Men Fatality Timeline (3rd Draft)

It's meant to help people answer such questions. Who has died, in which issues, how many times?

(Although I only put it on my list if the character had already qualified as an X-Man at some point before he died. For instance, if Magneto ever died before he first started working with the X-Men in the mid-80s, then I don't care about that. Only about all the times he's died since he first became entitled to call himself an X-Man! :))

A couple of things have already been referred to in this thread that I don't recognize. I'll need to do a bit of research. They may end up as new listings for the Fourth Draft of my Timeline, one of these days.

patriot was recently shot in the chest by a kree laser blast and he's slowly dying in the arms of cap. thats where the last issue left off. my guess is that he'll either get a transfusion from cap or his own grandfather. the irony is that this was the story he told everyone before, that he got his powers from a blood transfusion from his grandfather.

Well In that case Colossus Never Died Either.

He was thought dead but actually in a lab.

Yeah Irony can be a real m***er****er. I feel for patriot. Kinda reminds me of my neighbor. He was a bus driver till he got hit by a bus. Now he cant walk and all he can taste is salt.

Actually he did die. They even said so. He was brought back to life by alien technology and THEN put in a lab.

He died by the standards of Earth science/medicine.

He was not yet dead by Ord's world's medicine/scientific standards.

So, it really depends on what the definition of "is" is.

Eh. Maybe. It's about time the Avenging son got around to doing some damn avenging.

I'm confused about #2 as well. Patriot's lying in Cap's arms, last I saw. He could get a transfusion from Cap that would give him Cap's powers, or he could be rushed to somewhere else for medical attention while the other New/Young Avengers hold the Kree soldiers off, or the Vision's new body could have some medical systems that would stabilize him, or a lot of other things could happen. Assuming Cap gives him a transfusion is kind of jumping the gun a bit. Although Heinberg does tend to do the expected, given that Teddy and Billy being gay, Vision returning through Iron Lad's armor, and Tommy and Billy being the sons of the Scarlet Witch were all called on the Internet long before they were actually revealed in the comics.

Teddy and Billy are gay?!?!?!?!

:p

yeah, but ask yourself this: why were they called so early?

because heinberg gives plot pointers for us to see. Little hints of what's to come.

THAT'S why Young Avengers is so FRICKING GOOD!

Yeah, but my point was that his foreshadowing, unlike most other comic writers, generally never has red herrings.

Which is fine by me.

Me, too. I think it was Dread who mentioned that there's as much to be said for fulfilling fans' expectations as there is for creating great twists.

Heinberg is a very satisfying writer.

truth.
Namor has no issue with killing for the right reasons.

This Qualifies.

?
The way New Young Avengers are written,... I've yet to be surprised,.. just irritated by some of the directions taken.

Keeping this in Mind, I'm willing to bet my Squirrel-Girl Action figure, (When they make one,.. and when I buy at least two.), that this is what's going to happen. He will have those powers via one of the captain America's,...
