The proper term is Marvel Zombiism. I've found that a common cure for it is a dose of Kingdom Come, possible even some Batman the Long Halloween. Though some cases have been deemed hopeless.

Every once in awhile you gotta down some veggies. Otherwise, you have a massive heart attack on the can while trying to fire one out so you fit in that dessert you've been eyeing all night. A piece of lechuga will keep you alive. At least until that bus nails you while you're crossing the street in a couple of years.
