Here's the rules: You pick an Oscar winner for each category, but for each category you are limited to films that were not even nominated in that category in real life.

Note, these aren't necessarily what I would pick to win overall as in some cases I actually agree with what the Academy actually nominated. There are some though that I would legitimately go to bat for.

Best Actor- Jake Gyllenhaal - Nightcrawler
Best Supporting Actor - Toby Kebbell as Koba in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes
Best Actress- Scarlett Johansson - Under the Skin
Best Supporting Actress- Tilda Swinton - Snowpiercer
Production Design- The Babadook
Makeup & Hairstyling- Inherent Vice
Adapted Screenplay- Gillian Flynn - Gone Girl
Original Screenplay- Only Lovers Left Alive
Both Sound Awards- Godzilla
Cinematography- Nightcrawler
Visual Effects- Godzilla
Editing - Noah
Best Score- Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross - Gone Girl
Animated Feature- The Lego Movie
Original Song- Hal- Yasman Hamdan- Only Lovers Left Alive
Costumes- Snowpiercer
Best Director- Darren Aronofsky- Noah
Best Picture- Gone Girl

I have not seen enough foreign language films or documentaries to make any kind of informed choice.

In the case of shorts, I've only seen things that are nominated.

Have fun.

Not bad picks but reread the top post, the point is that you can't choose things that were already nominated in each category.
