A few of my favorites.

Good to see this thread going again after so long. This one is awesome... I'd love this for an actual poster.

Wasn't this on a silver coin in the eighties ? I have this publicity in my old Crimson Avenger issues, 50 years of superman something like this. I used to think it was a valuable coin when I was young, because there were superman on iit !

Was it in color, like those Obama coins? If so, that'd be pretty cool to have.

Love Darwyn Cooke.

He's my favorite Superman artist. His Superman art looks like the tough confident George Reeves old school man of action as Siegel and Shuster created with the Fleischer-esque Superman look and costume. I even have the action figure.

I like the "olden style" look to his art. Not to mention it's alot better than Bruce Timm's style.

I still haven't seen all of New Frontier.

I love it. S:TAS's Metropolis was really great. A mix between the city of gods, the city of Tomorrow, his own feeling and atmosphere.

^^ It also kinda reminds me of the futuristic drawings back in the 20's and 30's.

Agreed.
Obama is no Superman. I agree that it smacks of McCarthyism to label someone un-American for not sharing the same view (on the conservative side), but liberals tend toward character assassination aimed at any who do not share their ideology. Having said that Obama's policies are without a doubt socialist, it's up to you if you agree with that or not. Superman has always stood for Truth, Justice, and The American Way. Thus far socialism has not been the American way, I for one hope that it does not become so. I harbor no resentment toward him just disagreement, besides how can I resent a fellow comic book fan.:cwink:

Character assassination aimed at liberal Obama for not sharing conservatives ideology is exactly what this photo-shopped picture above is.

Socialism is helping those less fortunate. The pursuit of liberty and justice for all. That's the American way. When Democrats want socialism they just want Health care for poor people and Social Welfare for poor people and Social Security. This crazy notion of helping one's fellow man in need. Socialism understands that the government is there to help people, which helps society as a whole. However, to Republicans, socialism/big government is wrong and must be eradicated. Republicans think poor people are dead beats who should be left to fend for themselves. Socialism became vilified when it became tied to "Communism" in the 1950s McCarthy Era. Republicans are channeling the ghost of McCarthy and by calling Obama a socialist, they are trying to vilify Obama as an un-American Commie. Again, here is the actual picture of American Barack Obama with the American Superman:
