sunfire is a mutant from japan with heat powers simular in nature to firestarAre you kidding me Zeeny? That team's like the most ******ed thing I've ever seen, in print, or on paper, or in a drug addict's womb. Rachel Summers? I don't even understand her backstory. Hank Pym? More like Spank Wym...en. Who is Sunfire? I don't even know. Nice costume, *****e bag. Colossus? Yeah, and everyone complains about Wolverine being on too many teams. On the plus side, Colossus could Fastball Special Pym into Sunfire, killing them both.
Actually that's a pretty cool roster idea.
Spiderman,
Justice,
Firestar
Iceman
... yeah that sits fairly nicely to me. Of course it could never be a longstanding roster. It'd be cool for an arc or two but there can never be any longstanding roster that isnt the original 4.
Yeah, awesome scene.
I remember that. I love how Reed keeps dysphemizing each statement about himself on the first page. The folly of the FF's first flight still haunts him even after all the good the FF have done. Poor bastard.![]()
Probably because it's a far more human side of Reed than any writers have shown since Civil War.The great thing about this?
This issue had Ben, Sue, And Jonny feeling bad FOR REED because they thought he had not been invited to Cause Cerebal - what I would call the equiv for reed as the Biggest comic/tech convention of the year - and you find out on these pages that reed turned it down TO BE WITH THEM.
(Why does this hit me so hard?)

On topic:
The guy starts with the FF,... then Spins off almost entirely into independent titles.
WHAT IS UP WITH THAT???
I'm really happy to recruit a new comic reader from the unwashed masses,.. he's burning cash on graphic novels playing catch up on all FF titles but he's also reading Batman, Checkmate, and JSA? why does he need to jump hip deep into Vertigo, Bone, and Y the last man too?

Because he wants to read awesome stoires?
Independant titles offer a complete story?
Have their own easy to access continuity?
To be honest i'm amazed someone new to comics reads any DCU beyond batman or superman.
